Haval H-Dog 2023.

The new crossover Haval H-Dog is ready to enter the market.

This is the third crossover of the “dog” family of the Haval brand, which includes cars with a brutal design and a claim for increased cross-country ability.

So far, we are only familiar with Haval Dargo / DaGou (“big dog”) 4620 mm long, in China there is still a younger Haval KuGou (“cool dog”) with a length of 4520 mm.

Now the Haval H-Dog model is ready for production, the pre-production version of which was shown last summer.

From the photographs it may seem that this is a compact car, but in fact it is the largest in the family and is comparable in size, for example, to Chery Tiggo 8 or Skoda Kodiaq crossovers.

Length — 4705 mm, width — 1908 mm, height — 1780 mm, and wheelbase — 2810 mm.

Haval H-Dog has a good off-road potential: a clearance of 200 mm, an approach angle of 24 degrees, an exit angle of 30 degrees and a fording depth of 560 mm are declared.

However, in fact, we are not at all an SUV, but a typical crossover with a monocoque body: the same L.E.M.O.N. with a transverse engine.

There are plans for all-wheel drive versions, and locking cross-axle differentials are even promised for them (both rear, like the Dargo X, and front!), But the debut Haval H-Dog has only front-wheel drive.

This is a plug-in hybrid powered by L.E.M.O.N. DHT, which is already known from other Great Wall vehicles.

This Haval H-Dog has a 1.5 petrol turbo engine and an electric motor with a total output of 326 hp. and 530 Nm.

The system can operate in both parallel and serial modes.

At low speed, only the electric motor rotates the wheels, and the gasoline engine operates in generator mode.

With further acceleration, the internal combustion engine is connected to the front drive wheels with the help of a clutch: a two-stage robotic gearbox is provided.

The traction battery is installed under the cabin floor, but there is no data on it yet. Only passport fuel consumption is announced: only 1.85 l / 100 km.

The salon is modeled after Dargo. The doors are even equipped with the same straps for bottles.

The 12.3-inch instrument screen has an additional upper sector for control lamps, the media system has a 14.6-inch display, plus there is a nine-inch projection screen.

Of the equipment, an electric drive, heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic roof with a sliding section, heated cup holders and much more are announced.

The hybrid is also equipped with a household 220-volt socket, which can be connected to consumers with a power of up to 3.3 kW — for example, travel equipment.

For the first time for Haval cars, the car valet has remote control from a smartphone, in this mode you can only drive 20 meters, although this should be enough for parking.

The hybrid Haval H-Dog will appear on the Chinese market before the end of the first quarter, prices have not yet been announced.

Later, the family will expand, but the company has not yet announced the prospects for deliveries to Russia.
