Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster 2023: the fastest «opener» of the world is presented.

Division Hennessey Special Vehicles has presented a roadster based on the hypercar Venom F5, which Texas tuners built back in the twenty-first.

They call their new brainchild in a workshop «the fastest convertible in the world», and regarding technique «opener» repeats the original coupe in many respects.

The novelty differs from the latter in the first place by the presence of a removable hard top, which is a composite panel weighing 8 kg.

It is attached to the car manually using four bolts and two snaps.

The roof can be quickly removed, but there is no storage space in the car.

In other words, it will have to leave it in the garage. You can store it at home either in a special merino wool bag or on a carbon fiber pedestal, which was developed by HSV designers.

The new roadster also boasts a transparent engine compartment cover.

It is made of tempered glass, certified for use in jet aircrafts.

The developers report that this material can cope with heat up to 540 degrees Celsius.

The glass is fixed in a carbon frame and has a number of slots to dissipate heat from the engine.

Another unique feature of the novelty are 19- and 20-inch wheels at the front and rear, respectively.

They are made of forged aluminum and have a fourteen-spoke design.

As an option, customers can order even more exclusive rims, which tuners polish by hand for several weeks.

The interior of the F5 roadster features carbon bucket seats. They have a bare frame, and only the seats, individual support rollers and headrests are lined with leather.

The driver is offered a U-shaped steering wheel, behind which a massive carbon dashboard frame is installed right in front of the windshield.

Hennessy has already announced that customers will be able to choose their own exterior and interior colors.

Plus, the roadster will also be available with a fully «naked» carbon fiber body.

As for machinery, the Venom F5 Roadster is powered by a standard 6.6-liter twin-turbo Fury V8 engine.

It puts out as much as 1,842 hp (1,617 Nm) and works with a seven-band robot, transferring power to the rear axle.

Like a coupe, the novelty is also able to reach speeds up to 483 km/h, but only with a roof installed.

But the characteristics of this open-top model are not called yet. It is known that the roadster is heavier than a closed two-door: its weight is declared at the level of 1 430 kg (+ 45).

Certainly it negatively affected dynamics of the car. For example, the novelty is hardly capable to shoot from 0-249 miles (400 km/h) in 15,5 seconds as the coupe does.

The Americans promise to disclose the exact characteristics of their new model only in 2023.

At the same time, they expect that it will surpass the «old» Venom GT Spyder, which in two thousand sixteenth has secured a speed record among open cars, breaking 427.4 km / h.

Hennessy would build only 30 roadsters, while 24 coupes were produced.

The production of the first «openers» in the workshop promises to start at the end of the twenty-second.

Meanwhile, the price tag is already known — $ 3.0 million (178.0 million rubles at the current exchange rate). By the way, it is at once $ 900,000 (53.4 million rubles) more expensive than the standard closed version of the model.
