Honda ZR-V crossover introduced in China: a global model based on the new Civic.
The world premiere of the Honda ZR-V crossover took place at the auto show in Shenzhen 2022 in China.
In addition to China, this model will be offered in the European and Japanese markets.
Plus it will appear in the U.S., but already under the name «HR-V». The presented crossover has a hexagonal frameless grille and LED headlights with «clubs» of exhaust lights.
Depending on the configuration, it can be fitted with 17″ or 18″ wheels.
Interior design of the ZR-V has much in common with the new Civic, on the basis of which it is built.
In particular, there is a similar architecture of the front panel with a single strip of ventilation deflectors and a compact central console.
At the same time the central tunnel in the model is original. It has two-storeyed design and on the sides of it there are USB-connectors.
Of the equipment it is worth noting the 10.2-inch virtual dashboard and 10.1-inch multimedia.
Also the car has panoramic roof and electric front seats, and adaptive cruise control and downhill assist system are declared for it among electronic assistants.
In terms of dimensions, the Honda ZR-V 2023 reaches a length of 4,568 mm, a width of 1,840 mm and a height of 1,621 mm.
Its wheelbase is 2,655 mm. Thus, the novelty will be between the HR-V and CR-V.
The presented model has multilever rear suspension, and it is powered by a 1.5-liter «turbo four» from the mentioned Civic.
This unit produces 182 hp and 240 Nm, working in conjunction with a variator. Specifically for the Chinese version of the parkettes declared exclusively front-wheel drive (in other markets will be and 4WD-versions).
With this «stuffing» it can acceleration up to 192 km/h.
The North American version of the model should get the same units, while in Europe and Japan crossover will be offered with a hybrid setup.
Specifically in the Middle Kingdom mass production of the Honda ZR-V will take the joint venture GAC Honda.
In the local market the crossover should debut in the second half of 2022. Then Japanese will present versions of the model for other regions.
