Hyundai i30 2020 — update of all models of the brand (hatchback, fastback and station wagon)
According to the official program of events at the Geneva Motor Show, which will be held in March, visitors will see a demonstration of the updated 2018-2019 Hyundai i30 family of model year, which will again delight with three body variations — a 5-door hatchback, station wagon and fastback.
What the manufacturer has prepared and what the announced electrification of budget models will be, we will consider below.
Specifications
Moving to a new platform is not mentioned, so all three options continue to be constructed on the same modular front-wheel drive trolley as before.
Like other modular options, like the German MQB, on
this database can be easily played long, so the Koreans once again avoided the high costs of developing a station wagon or fastback.
The manufacturer went along the suspension along the knurled track — in front of the MacPherson strut, in the back there is a multi-link for all body types. The only thing in the wagon last was somewhat strengthened.
Hyundai ah 30 has been produced since 2007 and sold on all continents, so it is not surprising that the list of powertrains here is extremely impressive. But this year the list has been revised and many options have resigned.

1.5 liter and 110 hp petrol aspirated in a company with 6-speed manual;
a turbocharged subcompact (1-liter) for three cylinders and a return of 120 hp, together with the same mechanics or DCT robot;
turbo engine for 4 cylinders and 1.5 liters, which is now boosted to 150 hp;
1.6-liter turbodiesel with 115 hp paired with the above mechanics or robot;
another 136 hp turbodiesel in tandem exclusively with a robot.
But that is not all. A 48-volt generator complete with intelligent mechanics is now in operation. According to engineers, the bundle, although it does not affect the final power, but saves fuel consumption and reduces emissions of combustion products.
True, at least some data on comparative tests of the model with and without installation has not yet been published.
By the way, the new 1.5-liter turbo engine with a return of 150 hp will be equipped with a hybrid installation by default. It will not be sold separately. The same goes for 136 hp turbodiesel
Another postscript — a fastback with the N Line package (something like a sports package) additionally receives the original suspension and steering column settings in order to improve the dynamics at high speeds.
In terms of electronic assistants, the LFA, RCA, FCA and BCA systems included in the Smart Sense proprietary security complex will already be observed in the database.
Appearance
Regarding the appearance, we can talk about the significant progress of the Korean design bureau. All three options received an excellent body silhouette. The front part is unified with other models of the brand and shines with a minimalistic approach with sports notes.
In addition to the new edges and radii in the Hyundai Ay 30, the updated LED optics, the original drawing of alloy wheels (from 16 to 18 inches) and accurate feed on each member of the family are striking.

Salon
Salon equipment has also grown in quality. Recent tests showed that the manufacturer worked on noise isolation and adaptation of the multimedia complex for smartphones. So, the new multimedia is widely integrated with mobile interfaces and responds to voice commands.
You can also watch a virtual dashboard and a more «lush» profile of seats. But it is worth noting a number of minuses.
Hyundai still gravitates to an abundance of plastic in the cabin and stubbornly refuses at least some aesthetic design of deflectors. Despite the fact that most manufacturers have long dealt with this.
Competitors
Naturally, among other manufacturers, especially those focused on the European market, there are also several options available that will help lead buyers to their side, including using a price tag.
In 2020, the hatch class will replenish with fresh Toyota Yaris and Mitsubishi Mirage, and Skoda Octavia will burst into the station wagon shelf.
Price and sales start date
The start of sales in the European market is scheduled for early summer, that is, 3 months after the official premiere. So we can say that Hyundai is already ready for mass production.
The price tags have not yet been announced, but the offer for basic trim levels should remain at the same level. So, the hatch will go for 1.26 million rubles, fastback at 1.33, and the station wagon will be given for 1.36 million rubles.
