Ineos Automotive announced pricing and features for the first Grenadier SUV.
The INEOS Grenadier will debut on the European market as the successor to the old Land Rover Defender, with a retro design and the latest technology.
The new Ineos Grenadier 4×4 will go on sale on the European market from May 18 for 4 million 429 thousand rubles when translated into Russian currency.
The model will be sold in commercial and passenger versions.
The creators of the INEOS Grenadier consider it the successor of the old and classic Land Rover Defender.
Both are British, and both were conceived to tackle the toughest challenges off the tarmac, with a retro design that retains the classic round headlights, the same shape of the taillights.
The brand is preparing to offer three model options to choose from: the Utility Wagon, Station Wagon Trialmaster Edition, and Station Wagon FieldMaster Edition.
The interior looks somewhat Spartan, with the INEOS featuring a small digital display behind the multifunction steering wheel.
A second 12.3-inch infotainment screen graces the center console, full of physical controls that control all parameters of the advanced all-wheel-drive system, air conditioning and other comfort equipment.
The list of new features includes anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic traction control (ETC), automatic hazard warning, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
hill and downhill assist, cruise control and trailer stabilisation, voice control 12V power outlets, the INEOS Pathfinder navigation system, LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Grenadier is only offered with two BMW-manufactured mechanical options.
Two six-cylinder 3.0-liter turbocharged engines, both gasoline and diesel, with a maximum output of 249 and 286 hp, respectively, and both are linked to 8 automatic transmission with all-wheel drive and a maximum towing capacity of 5.5 tons.
Ineos continues to develop the Grenadier SUV, which is a redesigned version of the classic Land Rover Defender.
The British model was recently updated and will go on sale soon. The 2022 Ineos Grenadier will hit the home market on May 18 at a price of £49,000 (about five million rubles).
By default, the SUV will be available in a two-seat version.
The five-seat variant is priced at a minimum of £52,000.
Also, buyers will be offered two more versions, one of which is designed for fans of extreme off-roading, the second — for those who prefer to use cars for adventure.
Prices for both modifications start from the mark of 59 thousand pounds sterling.
Locking front and rear differentials, a larger air intake, external seat belts and an extra battery will be available as options with these modifications.
Also with the top versions will offer a parking camera, electric heated door mirrors and 18-inch wheels for a fee.
The British novelty is equipped with a choice of one of two BMW engines. Each of them is a turbocharged 3-liter unit.
The maximum power of the diesel engine is 246 hp and the torque is 550 N*m.
The petrol unit produces up to 281 hp and 450 N*m of torque. Both engines come with all-wheel drive with a downshift and lockable rear differential, as well as an eight-speed automatic.
Note that the company Ineos, despite the relatively small volume of orders (to date, slightly more than 18,000 people have registered wanting to buy SUV), intends to transfer Grenadier to a hydrogen fuel.
It plans to find £1.7 billion of investment to do so.
