And the first commercially available cars will reach showrooms this autumn.
The Soul EV Maxx gets a 64 kWh battery, which guarantees an electric range of 450 kilometers on a single charge.
Up to 80 percent of the electric car can be recharged in less than an hour. Provided you use a mains power of up to 100 kW.
If you use a 7.2 kW home power grid, this procedure will take more than nine hours.
The front-wheel drive Korean electrocross is driven by a 201-horsepower electric motor. It is interesting that the novelty has borrowed much from the First Edition.
Already in «base» the battery-powered Parkette gets light-alloy wheels 17 inches and leather upholstery in the interior.
The novelty body is painted in a new pearly white shade, which is declared as base.
For extra charge, the crossbody will try on a new bright color scheme: red body and black contrasting roof.
The list of standard equipment includes LED headlights, power-folding and heated exterior mirrors, and automatic windshield wipers.
In addition, the novelty gets heated front seats and steering wheel, a rearview camera, virtual «dashboard», multimedia with a large touchscreen, air conditioning, adaptive cruise control and Harmon & Kardon audio system with 10 speakers.
Kia made a minor update to the lineup of modifications of the electric version of the Soul EV. More precisely, the manufacturer has replaced Forst Edition with Maxx.
The Korean model in this version has already entered the European market at a price of 32,445 pounds (3.28 million rubles).
The updated Soul EV is equipped with the same 64 kWh battery, so the range of the electric crossover has not changed.
The Korean model travels not more than 451 kilometers without recharging.
Other characteristics of the car have not changed. The battery replenishes the lack of energy from 0% to 80% from fast charging station for 54 minutes.
That goes up to almost 9.5 hours when plugged into your home power grid.
The Kia Soul EV comes with the same 201-horsepower electric motor, which is front-mounted and produces no more than 395 N*m of torque.
Together with the new version of Maxx offered alloy wheels with a diameter of 17 inches and seats with leather trim in black.
Note that similar options were available with the departed Forst Edition. For an additional fee with the Korean crossover you can buy a black roof.
In the list of the standard equipment the manufacturer has included LED optics, placed around the circle, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, heated front seats and steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, premium acoustics with ten speakers and 10.25-inch touch screen.
The place of the instrument panel is occupied by a 7-inch digital display, and the interior is equipped with climate control by default.
Also with the basic version comes a rearview camera and parking sensors.
