According to Renault’s plan, by 2025 Lada cars will move to the company-wide CMF-B platform, but AvtoVAZ will refuse to use its own «bogie».
This means that the Vesta will remain in the assembly line for another four years, and its successor will be based on a new «French» chassis.
However, this is still a long way off and meanwhile Avtovaz is busy restyling the current version of the model.
We know that the updated Lada Vesta FL will receive modified design with different bumpers, grille, hood and front wings, while the older models will boast LED headlights and lights.
The developers are planning to improve the quality of interior trim, and also equip the top version of the model with a new multimedia.
The latter will get a vertically-oriented display and expanded functionality.
The updated Lada Vesta FL should also become the first Avtovaz model with a virtual dashboard.
Plus, the cars of the family will be equipped with a new climate control unit with three rotary knobs and built-in displays (like the Renault Arkana and Duster II crossovers).
«All-road» Cross-versions of the model in the course of the restyling will also get a system «Ride Select», which allows you to switch between off-road and sporty presets driving electronics from the washer on the center console.
While this solution is used only on the XRAY Cross.
Technical stuffing on the new Lada Vesta 2022 should remain the same. Consequently, the car will still be offered as with VAZ 1.6-liter and 1.8-liter motors rated at 106 and 122 hp respectively, and with 1.6-liter engine Renault to 113 powers.
We would like to remind that domestic units work with manual transmission, and top engine has a variator.
An updated model will also retain a «heated» version of the Vesta Sport, which relies on a 1.8-liter engine, boosted to 145 «horses».
However, after restyling this version of the model will be available not only as a sedan, but also as a wagon SW Sport.
At the moment Avtovaz conducts road tests restyled Vesta, and its official premiere should take place in March of the twenty-second.
Timing of the appearance of the model on the market is not advertised, but we should focus on the summer.
It is expected that the price for the updated cars will be significantly higher.
