The photos show a rare 1996 Lamborghini Diablo SV-R currently on sale in Australia through the Trading Garage online auction.
At one time Diablo SV-R became the first racing car of the Italian brand, which rolled off the assembly line of the plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese.
By the way, the circulation of this model was only 31 pieces, while the copy put up for auction is the 16th in a row.
Based on the Diablo SV, the SV-R has received a variety of racing accessories and components. In particular, such a two-door can be easily distinguished by the more aggressive aerodynamic body kit with a carbon fiber wing.
At the same time, the Italians abandoned retractable headlights in favor of air intakes, and the side windows were made of plexiglass.
The developers have seriously lightened the interior and design of the supercar, due to which the weight of the racing two-door was 1,385 kg (- 191 kg compared to the original).
As for the powertrains, the coupe is driven by a 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V12 with 540 hp. (598 Nm), coupled with a five-speed manual.
The model put up for sale has a rich racing history. He has participated in numerous races in both Europe and Australia. This car has at least 18 victories in the Australian Nations Cup.
It is interesting that some time ago the car underwent restoration, which was carried out by specialists from the Lamborghini Melbourne division.
They used only original parts and retained the # 666 Australian Nations Cup racing livery with the sponsors’ logos of those years.
The cost of the work was $ 125,000 (9.2 million rubles). Whether the money invested in the supercar will pay off is unknown.
At the moment, they are offering $ 110,000 (8.1 million rubles) for it. However, there are still two weeks before the end of trading.
The new owner will receive the car in racing specification, but if necessary, he can easily convert it for travel on public roads.
