The matte black Lamborghini Urus Evo 2023 was caught on camera lenses without camouflage.

Since its debut in 2017, the Lamborghini Urus has become the Lamborghini brand’s most successful model, with dealers selling more than 16,000 vehicles in four years.

Sales of the Urus model are still high. Lamborghini is preparing to present an updated version of the model later this year.

Prototypes of the new model, which may be called the Urus Evo, have been spy-tested since early last year. This time, the crossover can be spied openly.

A matte black prototype of the Urus spotted near the Arctic Circle had no ordinary camouflage.

The model received minor visual changes. The front of the body has been redesigned with slightly different air intakes on the bumper and a new vented hood.

The headlights may also get new LED graphics, although this prototype still uses the old units.

The side view will remain largely unchanged, except for a new wheel design choice, slightly different fender extensions and new color options.

The air vent in the fender is closed, which may hide the new design.

At the rear, the Urus still looks fresh, but the Evo will have a new bumper. The air intakes mounted on the tail are different from the current models, while the lower part of the bumper gets a bigger diffuser and retains four exhaust pipes.

The most important changes in the updated Urus will be hidden under the leather. The SUV is expected to get a plug-in hybrid powertrain as part of Lamborghini’s electrification plan.

Rumor has it that a performance-oriented variant with a combined output of up to 808 hp could mean a significant increase over the current Urus with the ICE engine, which develops 641 hp from a twin-turbo V8 engine.

The updated Urus is expected to debut in the coming months, so the brand will release official photos soon.

An electrified variant is likely to appear in 2023. Lamborghini CEO Stefan Winkelmann previously confirmed that this will be the year of the first hybrid Lamborghini.

The entire Lamborghini lineup will be electrified by the end of 2024, including the successors to the Huracan and Aventador lineups.

As for the brand’s first all-electric model, it will appear in 2027 or 2028.
