Dutch tuners are ready to convert Land Rover Defender 2022 into a convertible: expensive.
Since the market launch of the new Land Rover Defender, rumors about a possible soft-top car have been circulating around the web.
As a result, convertible has appeared, but as unofficial modification of Dutch atelier «Heritage Customs».
Open version of the SUV was called Valiance. It is based on a standard three-door Defender 90, while customers can choose from three design options: «Côte d’Azur», «Kokkini Paralia» and «Solihull Sand».
They differ from each other by exterior and interior design.
For example, the photos show a convertible version «Solihull Sand».
When creating it, tuners were allegedly inspired by the countryside of England.
This car is characterized by a green coloring of the body with gray bumpers. In turn, folding soft top is made of beige fabric.
Of the other features of the British SUV, it is worth noting the 20-inch white wheels «Space Cowboy».
Its interior has a number of copper accents. For an additional fee, you can order classic seats and steering wheel, thus giving the interior a retro style.
Valiance Defender Convertible modification costs quite a lot. It costs 84,700 euros (7.1 million rubles at current exchange rate) for a single modification of the car.
Taking into consideration donor Defender 90, the cost of «opener» may reach €138,500 (11,6 million rubles).
The highest price tag will be if a car with 525 hp V8 engine is used as a source.
The Dutch studio has already started taking orders for a Land Rover Defender Cabriolet.
The modification will be released only five copies, and shipment of the first cars to customers will begin in 2022.
Dutch Heritage Customs plans to build five of these SUVs.
Heritage Customs of the Netherlands has started work on the first of five planned for production Valiance Convertible SUVs.
They are built on the basis of the new Land Rover Defender 90. Such cars will have folding soft top, special painting of the body, elements of Magic Metal decor and appear in three elaborate themes of design. Even the price is known — 138,500 euros.

Five off-roaders are planned for production in 2022 at a price of 138,500 euros (11.9 million rubles).
Most of the production slots, according to the company, have already been bought, and work on the first vehicle has begun in the town of Eenter in the east of the Netherlands.
Three versions of the Valiance Convertible are named after the Cote d’Azur, Solihull (Land Rover’s hometown) and the volcanic Red Beach on the Greek island of Santorini.
They will all get a lowered soft-top roof and matching styling, including Magic Metal metallic overlays and a leather interior made by New York-based Spinneybeck.
Heritage Customs will offer its customers: a blue Côte d’Azur SUV with 22-inch Space Cowboy wheels, Whitewall tires and a cognac top; a green Solihull Sand (paying homage to the 1948 Land Rover HUE I66 pre-production) with 20-inch vintage wheels and a sand roof (can be changed to yellow-brown); and a matte red Kokkini Paralia with 22-inch Supersonic wheels and a black/beige top.
The Valiance Convertible’s engines are not listed. But based on the announced price, we can assume that the starting point of the open «Defender» will be the initial version D200 with a 3.0 MHEV diesel and an eight-band automatic.
However, now such car costs 108 thousand 120 euros that corresponds to 9,3 million rubles.
