The HST version in the Velar is based on the R-Dynamiq package, so buyers can choose one of the two powertrains offered.
Diesel versions of the D300, have a 296-hp six-cylinder unit.
Gasoline versions of the P400 are also six-cylinder, but more powerful, with an output of 395 hp.
Both versions are «mild» hybrids.
Regardless of which engine they choose, customers get all-wheel drive system and automatic transmission (9-speed for the diesel and 8-speed for the gasoline engine).
Land Rover Velar HST can be distinguished from its other variations by its exclusive body color, which is called Land Rover Arroios Grey, and stylish 21-inch wheels, glossy black.
The body and rims blend perfectly with the car’s contrasting roof, and the fact that it’s based on the R-Dynamic adds protective glazing, suede, black headliner, and a panoramic roof with a sliding sunroof to its standard equipment.
Additional standard equipment includes an air suspension with adaptive dampers and the ability to manually select the driving mode.
The equipment also includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping system, 10-inch multimedia touchscreen, and 12.3-inch digital dashboard.
Technical characteristics of the new version of the SUV has not yet disclosed, although auto experts suggest that the diesel version will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in about 6.5 seconds, while gasoline versions about a second faster.
Land Rover Velar HST 2022 can already be pre-ordered in the UK for 69,865 pounds (7.5 million rubles) for the model with a diesel unit and 73,815 pounds (8 million rubles) with a gasoline unit.
