Lexus LX 2022 SUV in Offroad One-Off version announced.
Offroad One-Off Lexus LX 2022 has been presented at the Tokyo Motor Show.
The novelty has received advanced capabilities for off-road driving.
The new Lexus LX is more luxurious than ever without wasting its off-road capabilities.
While the powerful F Sport version, to be sold in most markets, will have only a rear overriding differential, Japan will get a special Offroad version equipped with three lockable differentials.
Not only that, the premium Toyota division has now teamed up with Jaos tuners to present an even more off-road-ready version of the full-size SUV.
Ironically, it bears the same name «Offroad» as the production model in the JDM (Japanese domestic market) version.
This week at the Tokyo Motor Show, a unique version of the model will be unveiled on 20-inch titanium-gold Enkei wheels shod in Toyo all-terrain tires.
Equipped with mudguards, like any solid SUV, the new LX can be distinguished visually thanks to special front and rear anti-slip treads made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic.
Those chunky fenders are also made of carbon fiber, while door handle guards and the rear end complete the modifications.
Because the Offroad is based on the LX 600 package, under the hood is the same 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, delivering 409 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
In some markets, Lexus will sell its flagship SUV with a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that develops 305 hp. (700 Nm) and works with the same transmission.
Meanwhile, Jaos’ LX Offroad will be on display at the TAS show from January 14 to 16 at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center.
Lexus LX600 has received an «offroad» tuning kit from Japanese company Jaos.
A modified version of the frame off-road Lexus LX600 called «Offroad Jaos» will be shown at Tokyo Auto Show 2022.
It is known that this modification was built by Japanese company Jaos, which specializes in producing car tuning accessories and spare parts.
It is based on the production Lexus LX600 Offroad. In the process of tuning, the car received carbon fiber bumper pads and fenders to protect the body from scratches while traveling on light off-road.
The modification received also Mudguard III mudguards and protection of door handles. Its wheels are equipped with 20-inch light-alloy wheels Enkei Jaos Tribe Cross.
These rollers have golden shade of «Titanium Gold» and come with «toothy» Toyo Tires Open Country A/TIII tires with 285/55 dimensions.
The cost of Jaos tuning kit has not been disclosed yet.
