Lexus RX 2021: top-end Japanese of the highest level.
The Lexus company has recently begun to carry out restyling quite often for its cars, especially those that belong to the crossover class.

This is due to the steady growth in popularity and the number of competitors in this car segment. The Japanese brand has always offered the best solutions, albeit for quite a lot of money, so they often have to update to stay ahead.

Not so long ago, the most popular crossover of the company received another update. We are talking about the Lexus RX 2021. The new model received a slightly more formidable appearance, but retained its average dimensions.

There were also some changes in the cabin, which made it possible to further raise the level of comfort for all passengers. And of course, the characteristics of the crossover have also improved.

Appearance

In general, the new body still remains quite recognizable, as it has retained its dimensions and main decorative elements. However, in the photo it will still be possible to find several completely new solutions, thanks to which the car looks a little more formidable and stylish.

Here there will be even more relief of various types, a slightly different shape of the optics, more inserts that are painted in chrome or black gloss, plastic protective elements in the initial versions, as well as other small details.

The front part of the car still takes the most formidable and stylish look. It is located at a not very high height, has an average size and has a slope, which contributes to good visibility for any driver.

The design of the muzzle begins with the hood, which boasts a slightly submerged central part with a rounding, as well as strongly protruding side ribs.

Next up is Lexus’s proprietary air intake system, which takes up most of the muzzle. It has a polygonal shape and is also slightly recessed into the body.

The design also boasts a frame that can be painted in chrome or gloss black. Inside the grille there is a large black mesh, a Lexus brand badge and a plate for mounting a license plate.

Almost all other parts on the bumper are located on the sides of the air intake. Above all is the head optics, which looks very aggressive. It also boasts filling exclusively with LED lights.

Next is a pair of grooves filled with grilles for better cooling of the engine compartment and brakes. The finish is completed with anti-fog signals and a protective layer of unpainted plastic.

The appearance of the crossover’s profile part remained almost the same as before the update. All the same, from above, you can observe an interesting shape, which consists of windows.

It will be connected to the rear window by a small pillar, will be framed by a thin chrome line, and will also be divided into parts by glossy black pseudo-pillars.

Another decoration of the upper part can be called almost triangular rear-view mirrors, painted in gloss black and in any configuration including repeaters of turn signals.

On the main part of the profile, there is a lot of relief, both stepped and wavy. Below you can see the heavily inflated wheel arches that take on an almost square shape, sports side skirts and a protective plastic layer.

The car from behind still looks aggressive. It all starts here with a strongly tilted luggage compartment window, over which hangs a narrow visor, complemented by stop signals.

Further, the tailgate no longer has a tilt and includes details such as chrome nameplates, stepped relief, large dimensional signals of an interesting shape and other small decorations.

There are not very many places for the body kit. It boasts fog lights, chrome trim, exhaust pipes and plastic protection.

Salon

Since this is a Lexus, things can’t be bad inside. The car will receive an improved interior, which will be finished with good natural leather, plastic and metals.

Also, the new Lexus RX 2021 model year will get a more advanced multimedia complex and more comfortable seats with more auxiliary options.

The crossover dashboard looks pretty solid. On it you can see a large touchscreen display, a wide row of deflectors with a clock in the center, as well as analog buttons and washers that allow you to fine-tune the operation of the air conditioner.

At the junction of the torpedo with the tunnel, here you can see a small depression, which includes sockets for accessories.

The tunnel itself takes up quite a lot of space and consists of cup holders, organizers for things, a technical panel, as well as a large armrest, inside which there is also a refrigeration compartment.

All five vehicle seats provide passengers with a high level of comfort. They are finished with genuine leather, have good support on the sides, are equipped with heating, ventilation, electric adjustments and other useful options.

Specifications

In our country, the Lexus RX 2021 will be presented in three versions. The base one is equipped with a two-liter gasoline engine, the output of which is 238 horsepower. It is followed by a variant with a 3.5-liter engine producing 300 forces.

Rounding out the series is a hybrid setup, whose output is at around 313 horsepower. All options work in tandem with an automatic transmission, as well as an all-wheel drive system, however, in the basic version it is only optional.

A test drive of the car showed that it can easily cope with any type of road.

Options and prices

In the minimum version, the car will cost the buyer 3.4 million. Top price — 5.6 million.
