Maserati GranTurismo 2022. Recently fresh photos of long-awaited successor of the Italian coupe have appeared in the web during road tests. Using them, we have presented how the novelty will look.

The GranTurismo model of the first and so far the only generation was presented in March 2007 at the Geneva Motor Show.

The car design was developed by body atelier Pininfarina, and the engine was created together with the company Ferrari.

The coupe was produced for 10 years, almost unchanged, and then received a restyling.

However, the updated version did not last long on the assembly line, because at the end of 2019 the production of the coupe and convertible on its basis was completed.

And only this year, the first spy photos of the new generation of the two-door appeared, thanks to which we have the opportunity to see what changes in appearance it will receive.

At the front, the new GranTurismo will be easily recognized by the headlights with a different shape — instead of horizontal, they will be vertically elongated, similar to the MC20 mid-engined coupe, the official premiere of which took place a year ago.

The radiator grille will change slightly, and the hood will significantly increase in size, partially overlapping the front fenders.

On the fenders should remain branded decorative elements, which will probably be made in a new way — we have depicted one of the possible options.

Our renders are made on the basis of spy photos, so all sizes and proportions correspond to the real car, in general, the changes in body design are evolutionary in nature.

Sufficiently noticeably the novelty will differ from behind, where there will be narrow horizontal lights with the original pattern of LED lights.

A couple more characteristic elements are mirrors, which from now on will be installed on legs, and door handles, made in the form of recesses in the door panels.

The first generation GranTurismo was made on the platform from the Quattroporte sedan.

The next generation will get a new aluminum platform, but there are no details about it yet.

The engine lineup is also unknown, but we can guess that the engine might be taken from the aforementioned sports car MC20 — twin-turbocharged Nettuno V6 with a displacement of 3 liters, developing 621 hp and 729 Nm of torque.

Of course, in the GranTurismo version its characteristics can be changed. Moreover, earlier Maserati said that the new GranTurismo can become the first model of the company, which will be fully electric.

Premiere of the new generation of the Italian coupe is expected by the end of this year.

Today in Russia there are officially presented three models of the Italian brand — two sedans and a crossover.

The most accessible model is the sedan Ghibli, prices for which begin at the mark of 7,200,000 rubles (3.0 T AT, 350 hp, rear drive).

Slightly more expensive is the Levante crossover, its cost with the same engine and all-wheel drive makes 7,735,000 rubles.

At last, the flagship is a representative sedan Quattroporte with the motor of the same volume, but giving out 430 hp. — 11,700,000 rubles.
