But for extra charge, the list of onboard equipment of Japanese model expands due to all-around cameras, premium stereo system, leather seats and a lot of driving assistants.

The 2022 Mazda CX-5 has retained the previous design. In particular, the crossover has not received a new body, which is why it, judging by the photo, does not differ from the version that came out about six years ago.

But the technical characteristics of the crossover also remained unchanged.

The basis of the Japanese model is the same: McPherson struts are placed in the front, and multilever architecture is in the back.

Since recently the former are added with softer springs and lower arms that are fixed to the subframe with hydraulic supports.

Together with this motor, the crossover gains 100 km/h in 9 seconds and consumes up to 7.2 liters of gasoline on average. Both engines are optionally available with all-wheel drive.

In some countries, Mazda CX-5 is also presented with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel motor. Its declared power is 175 hp with a maximum torque of 420 N*m. A 6-speed manual transmission is available with this unit.

The total length of Japanese model reaches 4550 mm, width — 1840 mm, height — 1680 mm.

The wheelbase size is 2700 mm, and the clearance varies from 210 to 215 mm depending on the modification.

Options and prices

Since recently, the Mazda MX-5 is presented in Russia with five configurations.

The manufacturer has added a modification Century Edition, which became the top for the crossover.

The Japanese model in the basic version is priced in Russia at 1.811 million rubles.

Together with this version, a part-size spare wheel, a stereo system with four speakers, air conditioning, four electronic windows, front seats with electric heating and central locking with remote control are supplied by default.

Japanese crossover body design is made in the corporate style of Mazda, which has not changed over the past few years.

The car stands out for its sporty and sleek body with its smooth transitions and voluminous details.
