The 1016 Industries tuning studio has presented an 1150-horsepower McLaren 720S with carbon fiber bodywork.

There are plenty of tuners who modify supercars today. What makes 1016 Industries stand out is that instead of just adding a shiny finish and an ECU tune-up, it goes a little further.

Now he invites Jay Leno to take a tour of his McLaren 720S with carbon fiber bodywork.

According to many, the McLaren 720S doesn’t need any modifications.

It develops 710 hp and can accelerate to a hundred (96 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 341 km/h.

1016 Industries wanted to improve this performance. To do so, the supercar received a fully carbon fiber body.

According to Leno Peter Northrup, CEO of 1016 Industries, the company saved about 34 kg on the doors alone by replacing them with carbon fiber inserts.

In total, they took about 181 kg of weight off the original car.

However, they didn’t stop at weight reduction alone. The car is 120 mm wider than the factory version, and the track is wider too: 90 mm in the front and 120 mm in the rear.

1016 Industries also worked with Eibach, McLaren’s suspension supplier, to make sure the changes are optimized for track and street use.

In addition, the team added a functional spoiler with a fixed rear fender.

There is also a bucket on the roof of the car, which does not work in the traditional way.

It doesn’t direct air into the engine, but it does help smooth and calm the airflow around the car.

Under the hood of the 1016 Industries is an 1150 hp engine. Such output is provided by upgraded turbochargers, intercoolers, race fuel, etc.
