Renewed Mercedes-Benz A-Class: richer equipment, but fewer versions available.

In October 22nd Germans presented updated sedan and hatchback Mercedes-Benz A-Class.

During the planned restyling the design of cars remained almost unchanged. Four- and five-door received a new front bumper with modified grille.

The shape of the headlights remained the same, but its filling was revised.

For example, the headlights are now made in the form of single strips, while previously they were «stick-shaped. The base headlights are halogen, but you’ll have to pay extra for LED lights.

Other new features include different rear lights (they are LED already), as well as redesigned wheels.

The main interior’s news is a multimedia system MBUX with increased to 10.25 inches display.

Previously it was offered only for extra charge, while the base model satisfied with a 7.0″ screen.

The multimedia itself has also become more modern. It received revised graphics, a fingerprint sensor for driver recognition and improved voice assistant.

The additional trackpad on the center tunnel got «under the knife» during the restyling.

At the same time, the cars of the family got a new AMG steering wheel with twin spokes, but their dashboard remained the same (it could be 7.0″ or 10.25″).

As for trim, customers can now choose from several new upholstery options, including the use of recycled materials. Plus, the cars have had their fine décor revised.

The list of modifications available for sedans and hatchbacks has been noticeably reduced. The car was shown as a hatchback and sedan. According to some foreign media reports, this update may be the last integration of the compact model.

So, the base model A 160 (109 hp) disappeared from the range, and from a manual gearbox the Germans also refused, so from now on all versions come exclusively with a 7 or 8 speeds preselective robot.

As for external changes made by the manufacturer in the Mercedes A-Class 2023, they were minimal. Indeed, you will have to take a magnifying glass to consider all the updates.

Thus, the car has received a new grille with star pattern, optics, which can be optionally equipped with LEDs, LED taillights and rear diffuser.

In addition, the German model gets four updated wheel designs. The manufacturer did not change the interior of the car drastically.

However, all the changes will be surely appreciated by potential buyers. In particular, the model has received a 7.0-inch digital dashboard and 10.25-inch touchpad infotainment system.

Both of these screens are standard on the «German». For an extra fee, the first display can also become 10.25-inch.

The German brand has also made changes to the standard components of various modifications of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class 2023. Now the model in the initial variation comes with ARTICO upholstery with three-dimensional embossing. In Progressive trim the interior is made in black, beige and new gray colors.

The dashboard is decorated with dark carbon fiber trim. And in the AMG Line configuration, it is changed to bright polished aluminum, and the stitching becomes red.

The developer reconsidered the level of equipment of the car. For example, the entry-level models added a Nappa leather steering wheel, a rearview camera and a USB package.

More expensive versions are equipped with LED headlights and seats with lumbar support. There is also a package to facilitate parking and side mirrors with servo, heating and electronic adjustment.
