Mitsubishi Xpander 2023.

Some time ago, a new Mitsubishi Xpander 2023 wagon arrived on the Russian market, as well as its Cross version.

Now this Mitsubishi car has been called one of the best alternatives to the domestic Lada Largus, whose production will resume no earlier than this autumn.

Note that the Japanese model was created specifically for the countries of Southeast Asia, where it was assembled.

At the same time, in terms of dimensions and characteristics, the Xpander almost completely corresponds to the Largus.

However, unlike the “Russian”, Xpander is already offered in the base with a 7-seater interior layout, which makes it an ideal family car.

At the same time, the Cross-version of the van also arrived in Russia. It differs from the standard version by the presence of an increased ground clearance (22.5 cm), as well as an off-road body kit made of unpainted plastic.

By the way, now only the pre-styling version of the “Japanese” is present on the domestic market, however, in the updated version, Xpander and Xpander Cross received the same ground clearance.

In the engine compartment of the station wagon there is a 1.5-liter “aspirated” with 105 hp, which was once installed on the “tenth” Lancer (officially sold in the Russian Federation).

Paired with the unit, a classic “automatic” at 4 speeds is offered.

Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has been seriously updated externally, retaining the same body shape.

Due to the increased ground clearance, it was possible to significantly increase its cross-country performance.

The clearance of the car is 220-225 mm. Ahead, it is worth noting the appearance of new headlights, which, however, come in the same separate format.

The hood looks slightly raised, and the grille is in corporate style.

The lower part of the bumpers is protected by a special lining. The lights on the stern have also been slightly upgraded.

However, Mitsubishi Xpander is inferior to Lada Largus on two points at once.

Firstly, the “Japanese” is positioned as a model of the ultra-budget segment, therefore it is deprived of some “pleasant” options, for example, heated front seats (can be installed for a fee), heated windshield, rear seats and steering wheel.

Secondly, the cost of Xpander in Russia starts at 2.1 million rubles, which, compared to the same Largus, is very expensive. Recall that a domestic station wagon in a good configuration will be offered no more than 1.5 million rubles.
