Geely Emgrand 7 2023: budget Chinese sedan from Belarus.

In the spring of the twenty-third, a batch of Geely Emgrand 7 sedans of the new generation was brought.

In the Celestial Empire, this four-door appeared back in the twenty-first and is sold there as «Emgrand».

Note that Chinese sedans came to our country unofficially — from Belarus. In a neighboring state, this model has been on sale for several months now.

In front, the new Geely Emgrand 7 2023 from China pleases the eye with a massive grille shield with chrome trim, to which slightly squinted headlights adjoin on the sides.

By the way, in the basic configuration, the head light is halogen, while LED optics is a privilege of the older version only.

The diameter of the wheels also depends on the configuration. By default, there are 15-inch wheels, and in the top — 17″.

In profile, the 2023 Geely Emgrand 7 new looks understated and has a short trunk tail.

Its silhouette is somewhat reminiscent of much more expensive three-volume models from Audi and Volkswagen.

As for the stern, the lampshades here are united by a light strip, under which there is an inscription with the brand name.

At the bottom of the rear bumper there is a conspicuous black insert.

At the base, the interior of the Geely Emgrand 7 sedan has fabric upholstery and an analog instrument panel.

In the top version of the model, the interior is made of leatherette, and the instrument panel is completely electronic.

The front panel of the car has a minimalistic design and is notable, first of all, for a horizontal strip of ventilation deflectors for the entire width.

In the center rises the tablet of the multimedia system — it is here with a diagonal of 8.0 ″.

The 2023 new Geely Emgrand 7 sedan is built on the basis of the BMA (B-segment Modular Architecture) platform, which is also based on the Coolray SUV, well known to Russians.

Overall length of the car is 4638 mm, width — 1822, height — 1460, and its wheelbase is 2650 millimeters.

In terms of dimensions, the Chinese four-door is comparable to models such as the Hyundai Elantra and KIA Cerato.

MacPherson struts are used in the front of the chassis, and semi-independent suspension is in the back.

Ground clearance in the lowest position is only 122 mm, but this is on a loaded car — under normal conditions, the ground clearance is slightly higher.

As for the volume of the trunk, it is declared at the level of 500 liters.

The Geely Emgrand 7 in a new body is driven by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 103 hp. (142 Nm).

It is curious that on cars in the specification for the home (Chinese) market, this unit is somewhat more productive — 114 forces.

At the moment, new Emgrand 7 sedans imported from neighboring Belarus are on the market.

They have zero or near zero mileage, and sellers ask for them from 1,780,000 to 2,149,000 rubles. For comparison, in China, the price of the model varies from 9,600 to 12,400 dollars (from 735,000 to 950,000 rubles, respectively).

During the twenty-third year, the Belarusian plant «Belgy» plans to start production of the Chinese model at its own facilities. It is possible that soon after that the four-door will appear in Russia officially.
