Nissan Pathfinder 2022 for Russia.

When creating the Nissan Pathfinder 2022, new — fifth generation, the Japanese company has made a choice in favor of a serious update the appearance of the car.

The external changes are significant, as the car actually received a new body.

The body became less streamlined and more «faceted», the overhangs of the wheel arches became bigger and the design of the front end is made in the style of the current Patrol.

The Pathfinder crossover now flaunts the two-color body paint with a black roof, but the much more important improvement is better noise insulation.

Japanese have removed noisy variator, they have generously added «noise» in the engine compartment, floor space and doorways, and also made the windshield and rear door windows thicker.

Interior

The interior of the SUV has simplified, but it clearly played to the benefit of ergonomics.

The central tunnel became two-storey, the central ventilation deflectors became even smaller and the climate control unit is larger.

The digital dashboard can be presented in the form of 7- or 12.3-inch display, and in the center of the front console is installed 8 or 9-inch touchscreen.

Also the new Pathfinder can be considered as more spacious since there are three full seats on the third row. On the second — it is offered to put a sofa or captain’s chairs with removable luggage box between them.

Technical stuffing

In America, the 2022 model year Nissan Pathfinder has retained its only powertrain — a 3.5-liter gasoline six rated at 288 hp. (351 Nm).

From now on, it will be complemented by a nine-speed hydromechanical transmission in the form of an automatic transmission, and another novelty is the new steering mechanism with an electric booster.

In terms of equipment the new Pathfinder can brag of options in the form of a three-zoned «climate», adaptive «cruise», panoramic roof, all-around view cameras and a powerful audio system Bose with 13 speakers.

Thus, this Japanese model has not received a modern autopilot ProPilot which is put, for example, on the European Qashqai.

Nissan Pathfinder: when will be released in Russia?

In America the price for the current version of the Nissan Pathfinder starts at $44,000, which is the equivalent of 3.22 million in rubles.

In Russia, the new crossover should arrive this summer, its price will be a little higher than the Murano.

Here the Pathfinder will take a flagship niche in the model range of the Japanese company.
