An interesting horizontal plastic insert «under the metal» leaves the frame of the rear window onto the pillar. Below the relief begins, the front chopped edge of which slopes slightly downward.

The mirrors have become more rounded and larger in size, as well as the circular wheel arches, which now accommodate enlarged rims with an interesting pattern.

The rear of the car is modern in style and contains a raised, short trunk lid with an aerodynamic elevation at the end.

Arrow-shaped side lights with interesting sections in the shape of the same letter V can be considered a real work of art.

Between them a large trapezoidal recess under the license plate and an uncomplicated relief appeared. The body kit does not differ in length, but it is quite high.

Here you can find parking sensors, a black plastic insert with fog signals, as well as a protective plate at the very bottom, painted in body color.

Interior

In the cabin of the new Nissan Versa 2021 model year, all the same high-quality plastic, leather and fabrics, as well as metal-look inserts, have been preserved.

In general, it will be a little more comfortable inside due to the seats of the improved shape and more free space, and the modified multimedia and «smart» driver assistants will make even a long journey easy and pleasant.

Front end decoration

The center console is slightly «moved» to the driver and front passenger, making it easier to access some devices.

But the steering wheel pleases with its comfortable shape with a lining in the lower part and an abundance of buttons on the side spokes.

Pleasant emotions are evoked by the instrument panel with white scales and a modest on-board computer squeezed between them.

Seats and trunk

The car is designed to carry five adults at the same time, and each will get a well-profiled seat with medium-soft filling that can be adjusted in accordance with your ideas of comfort. The front row will provide good lateral support, heating and mechanical position adjustments.

There are slightly fewer options for rear passengers, however, advanced configurations allow you to order, for example, heating for these seats.

A folding armrest will become available even in the «base».
There is no official information about the capacity of the luggage compartment yet, however, according to a test drive, 350-370 liters of luggage will fit into it without any problems.

Specifications

Under the hood of the 2021 Nissan Versa, at first, there will be an uncontested 1.6-liter engine that generates 123 horsepower. But the transmission can be chosen: either a five-step mechanics, or a variator. The drive will always be carried out only to the front wheels.

These characteristics will allow the car to easily cope with most road situations in the city and on the highway, but you need to be careful when driving down onto a country road.

Options and prices

The starting price of the novelty will be 1.12 million rubles, and the cost of all additional equipment of the two higher configurations will pull another 300 thousand units of Russian currency.

Sales start in Russia

Fans of the brand may not even think about the release date in Russia: there are no plans to deliver the car to the domestic markets. But in North America and Europe, the start of sales is scheduled for the winter of 2020-2021.

Competing models

Since the new sedan is relatively inexpensive, Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio and Volkswagen Polo will compete with it. In Russia, Lada Vesta would also compete for the buyer’s wallet.
