Opel is preparing a bold upgrade for the new Insignia. The car is expected to be transformed into a crossover style.

That is, the new 2025 Opel Insignia will be restyled with the Toyota Crown.

This is evidenced by both the first renders of the German model and the statements of the representatives of the brand.

Judging by the images, the car will retain a sports body with an elongated front end, where thin LED optics and a fairly aggressive bumper with wide side air intakes will be placed.

The feed of the presented novelty is raised. The Insignia’s C-pillars are heavily tucked in, reinforcing the car’s chosen sporty styling.

Behind the novelty, a spoiler is visible and there are thin LED lights, under which narrow diffusers are placed.

It is reported that the future Insignia will be built on the basis of the Stellantis STLA Medium platform.

This means that the German model will be released in at least one electric version after the generation change.

According to rumors, the power reserve of such a modification of the Insignia will be about 700 kilometers.

It is expected that the car will be driven by a single electric motor, which produces up to 201 hp. power.

At the same time, the option with a twin-engine modification is not ruled out, the total output of which will reach 443 hp.

The new Insignia will be built on the Stellaantis STLA Medium platform, which supports the installation of electric motors.

According to preliminary data, the electric Insignia will travel about 700 kilometers without recharging.

It is possible that after the generation change, the popular German model will change its name.

There is also a possibility that with the change of generations, the car will lose its current Insignia name. Demand for sedans today is gradually falling.
