Pagani Huayra Codalunga 2022.

Pagani has unveiled a «long-tail» version of the Huayra supercar.

The novelty was developed by special order of two wealthy clients and got the prefix «Codalunga» in the name.

Italian brand Pagani showed the new Huyara Codalunga: only 5 copies will be made.

Pagani has unveiled the Huyara Codalunga 2022. It is a variant with a long tail of an ordinary supercar.

First of all the two-door attracts attention with its stretched body: it is longer than the usual version of the model by 360 mm, and almost all the increase came to the rear part.

It was created at the request of two customers who worked with the brand’s limited edition model department.

It is known that only five copies of the Codalunga will be produced.

This model took inspiration from the cars that participated in the Le Mans races of the 1960s.

Two customers approached Pagani back in 2018 when they were finalizing the car’s styling.

The Italian company then produced a 1/4-size and life-size model to show the customers the final look.

In the end, they liked everything and decided to produce five units.

A tremendous amount of work was done to do this. The rear engine cover hides a V12 that develops 840 horsepower and 1,100 N*m of torque

Also visible at the rear is the titanium exhaust system, which consists of four traditional pipes arranged in a circle.

The low weight of the system helps the supercar weigh only 1,290 pounds.

The body, too, uses very light materials, which allows such a powerful car to pick up tremendous speed.

Only matte neutral shades will be used in the body.

The interior is upholstered in leather and nubuck. Overall, we can say that the interior is quite sophisticated and looks very expensive.

All five copies have already been bought by the new owners, each of them paid about 7,000,000 euros (412,720,000 rubles).

The brand did not name the start date of delivery, but the project is already in its fourth year, so this event can be expected very soon.

Recall that earlier Pagani unveiled another rare car: the bespoke Huyara NC.

At the moment, the company is developing its new supercar.

It is reported that during the work the Italian designers were allegedly inspired by cars of the 1960s.

They didn’t try to bring something new to the coupe. On the contrary, they refused a number of components, thus simplifying its look.

And the developers report that the «long-tail» supercar can boast of well-thought-out aerodynamics.

In particular, the car is equipped with four active flaps.

The interior of such a coupe still has a number of elements of «bare» carbon fiber, but the company tried to make it more «vintage», involving a number of appropriate materials.

As a result, the interior of the car was trimmed with light brown leather. The front panel and center console are light blue (the same color as the body), but a number of components are silver.

It is reported that the Pagani Huayra Codalunga 2023 weighs 1,280 kg, and the supercar is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine, which develops 851 hp and 1,100 Nm.

The developers point out the elongated exhaust system made of titanium, which weighs only 4.4 kg.

It has a ceramic coating, as in race cars that take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The company notes that a total of five Wyre Kodalunga will be built.

Each of them costs 7.0 million euros (418.8 million rubles at current exchange rates), but they are all already sold out.
