Electric liftback Zeekr 001: the firstborn of the next Geely sub-brand.

The Chinese concern Geely has formed another electric sub-brand — Zeekr, under which the most expensive premium models will be produced.

The Chinese are clearly confused with the name of the newly-made brand. So, the first two letters here are an abbreviation for «Zero Emission» («zero emission»), and the letter «e» in the middle symbolizes three words at once, namely «Electric-Evolution-Era».

In turn, the ending «kr» denotes the noble gas krypton, which has neither taste, nor smell, nor color, therefore its name is translated from Greek as «hidden».

The business was not limited to the announcement of a new brand, and the Chinese immediately presented the first model of the brand — the Zeekr 001 liftback. However, the latter is not a full-fledged novelty and is a serial version of the Lynk & Co Zero concept shown in the twentieth year.
