Peugeot 308 SW 2022: a new generation wagon has been presented.
The French have declassified the Peugeot 308 SW station wagon, built on the basis of the standard third-generation hatchback.
Design of the wagon almost completely repeats the original five-door, although the shape of its backside is still different: here the aperture of the fifth door is increased and the rear lights are left without a decorative black crosspiece.
The interior of Peugeot 308 SW 2022 again corresponds to the hatch, except that the backrest is already in the base divided into three parts (40:20:40), which can be folded with a special handle in the trunk.
Due to the increased overhangs overall length of the new station wagon increased to 4 636 mm (+ 60 mm compared to its predecessor), although the wheelbase remains the same — 2 732 mm.
Width is 1,852 mm (+ 48), height — 1,444 mm (- 20). Depending on the specific version, ground clearance of the car ranges from 143 to 145 mm.
With the change of generation, the trunk of the station wagon received a two-level floor, but its volume became a little less — 608 liters (- 2).
With the folded rear seats the capacity of the compartment is 1,634 liters (- 26).
The hybrid versions of the model have even smaller hold — 548 and 1,574 liters, respectively. The situation is the same with the fuel tank: normal cars have a 52-liter tank, and the hybrid ones have a 40-liter tank.
In Europe, a Peugeot 308 SW 2022 with a new body can be ordered either with a 1.2-liter turbo Puretech engine for 110 or 130 hp or a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel BlueHDi for 130 hp.
In base these cars are equipped with a six-speed manual and a «start-stop» system, and for 130 hp versions an eight-speed automatic is available.
At that, the new Peugeot 308 SUV is offered as a rechargeable hybrid, and the latter is available in two variants.
Such cars are equipped with a 1,6-liter petrol turbo-motor with capacity of 150 or 180 h.p. which works in a sheaf with an 8-range automatic device with an incorporated 110-horsepower electric motor.
Depending on the version, the total power of such unit can reach 180 or 225 «horses», but the maximum traction of cars is the same — 360 Nm.
The hybrid is equipped with a 12.4 kW lithium-ion battery.
When driving on electric power the latter should be enough for 59-60 km of run (according to the cycle WLTP).
In terms of equipment, the new model Peugeot 308 SW 2022 boasts the presence of an electronic complex «Drive Assist 2.0», which relies and donor hatchback.
It includes adaptive cruise control, a system of automatic braking and a function of keeping in a lane.
It is reported that «smart» electronics is able to overtake on the highway at speeds from 70 to 180 km/h.
To do this, the driver only needs to turn on a turn signal. Peugeot 308 station wagon will be produced at a factory in Mulhouse, France, but sales will start only at the beginning of the twentysecond and there is no information about prices.
