The updated Peugeot 208 2023 is shown for the first time on photorenders.

The automaker itself is in no hurry to share details, but that hasn’t stopped an independent designer from presenting the first renders of the novelty.

The car gets a new Peugeot emblem in the form of a shield. It will be located on the updated grille, as in the larger and later models 308 and 408.

Peugeot recently announced that the upcoming Inception concept will showcase its improved design language. Among them is a light signature, as seen in the rendering.

The rest of the body is likely to remain largely unchanged, except for a slightly redesigned stern.

The interior of the 2023 Peugeot 208 will get a new 308-inspired multimedia and an improved virtual dashboard, as well as new trim schemes.

The Peugeot 208 is currently offered with gasoline (1.2 PureTech), diesel (1.5 BlueHDi), and electric motors.

The updated supermini is likely to give up diesel and get a hybrid instead of a purely gasoline version.

Prices for the Peugeot e-208 compact GT version with a range of up to 400 km have been announced. It has already gone on sale.

Hatchback Peugeot e-208 2023 is already on sale in Europe in GT kitting.

Thus, the equipment includes full LED headlights, alloy wheels of 17 inches, multirule with perforated leather trim, keyless access and engine start with a button, a special GT design package, 7-inch touch screen media system with navigation, aluminum pedals, a set of airbags.

In addition, 10-inch TFT-screen digital dashboard, automatic climate control, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go function, active lane departure warning with lane correction and automatic emergency braking system with pedestrian and bicycle detection.

The «heart» of the new e-208 is a 51 kWh lithium-ion battery. It powers the engine, which has a capacity of 156 «horsepower».

The maximum torque is 260 Nm. The power generated by the electric motor is transmitted to the front axle.

The car is able to drive 400 kilometers under WLTP conditions without recharging. The average energy consumption is 12 kWh per 100 km, respectively.

Using the driving mode selector, you can choose between Eco, Normal and Sport profiles.

Depending on the selected profile, fuel efficiency or performance will be a priority. The vehicle is also equipped with an 11 kW OBC three-phase on-board charger with a 22 kW Mode 3 cable.
