Porsche 911 Carrera T: the Germans introduced the lightest version of a sports car with mechanics.

Porsche 911 Carrera (992) received a new version with the letter «T» in the title.

Note that such a modification was already in the range of «nine hundred and elevenths» in the period from 1968 to 1973 and then it was the simplest version of a sports car.

In its current form, the novelty is not basic: it occupies an intermediate position between the regular Carrera and its more advanced version of the Carrera S.

However, the Germans took the basic version of the model as the basis for this modification.

On the outside, they added a number of black components to the sports car and the decor of the same color.

So, in black, the car has 20- and 21-inch wheels front and rear, respectively, as well as exhaust pipes.

Note that all this can be ordered for a surcharge for the usual Carrera.

In the interior of the two-door, sports seats are installed by default, and there is also a special decor and other stitching.

The car is driven by a standard 3.0-liter biturbo engine with 385 hp. (450 Nm).

On the base model, the latter works with a PDK robot, and on the new Carrera T, it already works with a seven-speed mechanics.

However, if desired, customers can order a robotic box (this is a free option).

Although the engine of the Porsche 911 Carrera T 2023 is standard, the sports car boasts a lightweight design.

So, the Germans abandoned the rear seats and part of the sound insulation.

In turn, the standard 12-volt battery was replaced with a more compact one, and the glasses were made thinner.

Due to this set of measures, the curb weight of the coupe was brought to 1,470 kg, which is 35 kg lighter than the base Carrera with a robot. In other words, we have the lightest version in the range.

However, the thinner T-sports car did not become the fastest in the range: the variant with the PDK robot accelerates from 0-100 km/h in the same 4.0 seconds, and from 0-200 km/h in 14.2 seconds.

For cars with mechanics, the indicators are even a little more modest — 4.5 and 15.1 seconds, respectively.

The maximum speed in both cases is declared at the level of 291 km / h. It is also worth noting that the Carrera T has an adaptive PASM suspension with a 10 mm lower ground clearance.

Plus, it is equipped with a self-locking differential and an electronic PTV thrust vector control system, implemented using standard brakes.

For a base sports car, all this equipment is not available even for a surcharge.

The T-version also boasts a pre-installed Sport Chrono package, and you can also order a rear-wheel thruster for it, which until recently was offered only to the most powerful versions of the model.

As for the price, in Germany they ask for 124,000 euros (7.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate) for a novelty, that is, the T-variant turned out to be more expensive than the base one by €10,300 (620,000 rubles).
