Porsche Carrera GT 2021.
The German sports car manufacturer has announced a facelifted version of the 2021 Porsche Carrera GT, available as a convertible or coupe, with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The Carrera GT has earned the nickname «widow maker» for its difficult temper. It was on him that Fast and Furious legend Paul Walker died.
The Germans are famous for their rational approach to business, and one illustration of this attitude to work is the Porsche Carrera GT.
Porsche made a name for itself in prototype racing and in the late 90s, winning the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans with a 911 GT1, the brand scrapped its endurance program in the top end.
The reason for this was the dominance of Mercedes-Benz, and the closure of the GT1 class due to changes in the regulations initiated by the Western Automobile Club (ACO) and the International Automobile Federation (FIA).
But before a final decision was made, Porsche had already begun work on a new prototype.
Exterior
The exterior of the car remained recognizable — some minor changes were added to it, which, according to the idea of the designers, were to further emphasize the sporty style, elegance and power of the sports car.
During the modification, the model received darkened headlights and a more powerful front bumper, the design of which, as before, contains a large air intake and LED fog lights.
The ground clearance has been reduced to 10.8 cm, making the 2021 Porsche Carrera GT a truly sports car, clearly not suitable for most Russian roads.
Interior
Even in the basic configuration, the 2021 Porsche Carrera GT is equipped with high-quality sports seats, which are covered with natural leather and pleasant to the touch Alcantara.
In general, the interior of the Porsche Carrera GT is not loaded with electronics that could distract the driver from driving.
The trunk of the model, as before, cannot impress with its spaciousness — its working volume is only 125 liters.
Engine
In the course of restyling, the 2021 Porsche Carrera GT received a new, more efficient power unit.
Thus, the car is set in motion by a six-cylinder boxer «aspirated», the working volume of which is 3.8 liters, and the power can reach 430 hp.
The engine fully complies with the established environmental standards Euro-5 and can run on 95th gasoline.
Also, the power unit has an automatic gas distribution system and a DFI direct fuel injection system.
The engine can be aggregated with a seven-speed manual gearbox with a built-in indicator of the optimal time for changing to higher gears, as well as a seven-speed automatic Porsche Doppelkupplung with two clutches, which can be installed for an additional fee.
The dynamic performance of the modified car allows the coupe to accelerate to the first «hundred» in 4.4 seconds, the convertible — in 4.6 seconds. At the same time, the maximum speed of a coupe can be 306 km / h, a convertible — 304 km / h.
