Porsche launched the Panamera in 2009, and the current second generation model was introduced in 2017.

At the same time, a station wagon entered the market: such a «five-door» received the Sport Turismo prefix to its name. The Panamera underwent an update last year and received a couple of hybrid modifications.

Note that sales of the model in Europe last year quite seriously sagged: according to the Carsalesbase website, in 2020 dealers sold only 4308 cars (-49%), while in the peak year for a car in 2017, customers bought 10 478 units.

The premiere of the third generation Porsche Panamera is expected in 2023, the new product should enter the old world market in 2024.

The Spanish edition of  believes that along with the change of generations, the model can go to an all-electric «filling».

It is known that by this time in Europe there will be a «green» novelty from Audi, developed as part of the Landjet project (will replace the A8), electric versions of the BMW 5 series and 7 series, and Bentley will also present a similar «battery» model.

It is possible that in order not to break away from competitors, Porsche will develop a third generation Panamera with an all-electric «stuffing».

So far, there is no information about how the «next» Panamera will look, so artists have the opportunity to dream up on this topic.

So, the designer proposed his own version of what the appearance of the future «battery» novelty will be.

Judging by the render, it is assumed that the Porsche brand will not radically change the appearance of the Panamera.

The silhouette will be slightly transformed by increasing the wheelbase and decreasing the height. The front end is expected to borrow some of the styling cues from the Taycan electric car.

So, the new item in the lower part of the bumper will have a small built-in air intake, and under the headlights there will be holes for directing the air flow into the wheel arches.

The stern of the future electric Panamera is not visible in the render. As noted in the Spanish edition, this part will change less.

The taillights will be interconnected by several thin strands of LEDs that run through the entire tailgate.

It is assumed that such a car will not «step on the heels» of the Taycan, but rather become a «younger» model, more practical and affordable.

If the company confirms the Panamera’s transition to the “electric train” category, it could become the second model of the brand based on the PPE platform.

The «trolley» can accommodate up to four electric motors, their total maximum power can reach 1000 kW (1359 hp).

It is too early to speculate about what will be the «filling» of the third generation Panamera. It is possible that the model will be equipped with a new generation of batteries (solid-state).

Recall that the base Porsche Taycan has a single electric motor located on the rear axle.

It is mated to a two-speed gearbox and produces 408 peak horsepower. and constant 326 hp.

The battery with a capacity of 79.2 kW * h allows you to travel 431 km on a single charge (the calculation was carried out according to the WLTP cycle).
