The base Porsche Taycan RWD is introduced: one electric motor and rear-wheel drive.

However, the sports car can also be ordered with a larger Performance Plus battery (93.4 kWh). In this case, the output of the motor will increase to 476 forces, and on a single charge the car will be able to travel up to 489 kilometers.

At the moment, the dynamic characteristics of only a more powerful version of the base Taikan have been announced, which is capable of accelerating from zero to a hundred in 5.4 seconds (+ 1.4 compared to the all-wheel drive Taycan 4S), reaching speeds up to 230 km / h (- 20 ).

In terms of equipment, the rear-wheel drive Taikan is in no way inferior to the older versions. The electric car is equipped with an adaptive air suspension with active stabilizers and an electronically controlled differential lock.

The operating voltage of the traction network here is still the same 800 volts. Since this version of the model has only one electric motor, the front luggage compartment is a little more spacious here, due to which the total volume of the modification compartments is 491 liters (+ 44).

At first, the base Porsche Taycan RWD will be sold exclusively in China at a price of 888,000 yuan (approximately $ 125,000 or 8.7 million rubles). For comparison, the four-wheel drive version of the 4S in the Celestial Empire costs 1,148,000 yuan ($ 162,000 or 11.3 million rubles).

Over time, the sales geography of the novelty will be expanded, and it will also appear in Europe. In the Old World, a rear-wheel drive electric car promises to be much more affordable, since the 4S version there costs from 105,000 euros (8.2 million rubles).
