Renault Sandero 2022.
The Renault Sandero 2022 belongs to the category of subcompact cars. It first came off the assembly line in 2007, now on sale restyled second generation.
The hatchback is built on the chassis of the equally famous Renault Logan. This at least indicates the potential reliability and the fact that the car is well suited for operation in conditions of not always high quality Russian roads.
External elegance and modernity of Sandero is combined with rustic interior. In conditions of inflation and growth of dollar exchange rate the cost for the cheapest version has reached 743,000 rubles.
Buyers for this money get a 1.6-liter engine with a manual transmission. In total the automaker offers three versions of the motor.
The more powerful ones produce 102 and 113 horsepower, respectively. Interestingly, Renault got rid of one package, leaving only two.
Specifications
Renault Sandero 2022 in the new body is offered in the Russian market in two configurations. They differ from each other in price and technical characteristics.
The car is equipped with a four-cylinder engine with a volume of 1.6 liters, which is offered in three power options. The weakest version produces 82 hp and 134 N*m of torque.
Top speed and acceleration is 163 km/h and 13.9 seconds up to a «hundred». The engine is combined with a five-speed manual transmission.
A more powerful variant has already got 102 horsepower. Torque of the motor is 145 N*m. Also the top speed has been slightly increased up to 171 km/h, and to accelerate to 100 km/h it takes already 11.9 seconds.
As for the transmission, in this case a four-speed automatic is installed. Note that fuel consumption increases significantly.
The 82 hp unit on the «mechanics» has 7,1 liters per 100 km in a mixed cycle. Here it needs 8,6 liters of gasoline per 100 km.
And finally, the most powerful engine develops 113 horsepowers. Together with it the maximum speed of the car increases up to 177 km/h.
Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is achieved in 10.7 seconds. The motor is combined with a five-speed manual transmission.
In addition to decent by the standards of the segment dynamics, this version gets the consumption in the mixed cycle, equal to 6.6 liters per 100 km.
Dimensions of Renault Sandero 2022 are as follows: length — 4070 mm, width — 1733 mm, height — 1523 mm. The wheelbase is 2589 mm.
With such dimensions it is convenient to maneuver around the city and park, but there is another side of the coin.
Some owners note that there is not enough space in the back. And the trunk is objectively small. Its volume is only 320 liters. If to fold a back row of seats you will get a place for 1996 liters.
Options and prices
As we have already said above, there are less options. Earlier there were three, but Renault decided to reduce the list to two.
Since they are the most available, one can conclude that the top configuration was not in demand and they decided to forget about it.
Access
The Access configuration is priced at 743,000 rubles. It is noteworthy that this variant is available only in conjunction with the 82 hp engine.
Let’s list what is in the basic configuration:
rear fog lights and LED running lights;
factory tinting (manufacturer’s option);
heated rear window;
cloth upholstery;
two-way seat adjustment;
central locking;
driver’s airbag;
ERA-GLONASS (option);
ABS and EBD;
audio equipment;
mirrors in sun visors;
full-size spare tire.
Obviously, this configuration cannot be called equipped. There is no audiosystem (but audiopreparation will help to install it with ease), no electric window lifters, and a number of other functions, which for a long time seem to be commonplace. But those are the realities.
Life
The Renault Sandero 2022 in its second and final configuration gets a lot more than the base Access. The cost of this version with an 82-horsepower engine starts at 820,000 rubles.
The modification with a 102 hp motor and automatic transmission is priced at 935,000 rubles.
The package with the most powerful (113 horsepower) and economical engine will cost 880,000 rubles. Transmission in the latter case is manual.
Life configuration includes:
front fog lights;
door handles and side mirrors in body color;
doublers of the repeat indicators on the side mirrors;
grille with chrome trim;
vertical steering wheel adjustment;
exterior temperature gauge;
chrome trim elements on the dashboard;
4 head restraints (a fifth is available as an option);
front power windows;
front passenger airbag.
Also available as an option in the currently richest package:
passenger airbag with deactivation function;
electric heated and power mirrors;
cruise control;
air conditioning;
radio, CD player, MP3 support, Hands Free and 4 speakers;
USB and AUX;
7-inch monitor and navigation system;
on-board computer;
luggage compartment lights;
Renault Start remote start system.
As we see, the Life is already richer, but there are too many options, for which you have to pay separately. That’s how the initial cost of the configuration is inflated.
We should also note that Life with the 82 hp engine is a bit poorer than variants with more powerful engines. Some of the features available with the 102- and 113-horsepower units again come at extra cost.
Design
Renault Sandero looks like an average city dweller. Modern, restrained, a little ascetic and a little elegant.
Certainly, in appearance one recognizes its brother in the face of Renault Logan. There are a lot of smooth, rounded lines on a body.
In the front there is a false radiator grille with chrome overlays.
Inside, the model looks even more modest for its price tag. Of course, the interior depends on the package.
At least presence of the audio system and display of multimedia adds sensation of technologies and aspiration into the future, that very much spoils the base configuration, where there are not even loudspeakers and electric window lifters.
Adult passengers on the back row are likely to be cramped. On long journeys it is even more certain that the volume of the luggage compartment will not be enough.
In general, Renault Sandero looks simple and discreet, which is not a minus, given the price category.
