Roewe RX5 2022.

The new Roewe RX5 is unveiled: a striking exterior and a single sliding screen in the cabin.

Chinese company Roewe introduced the crossover RX5 of the second generation, which received a seriously redesigned exterior.

The original model had a restrained appearance in the style of VW Tiguan, while the successor, on the contrary, pleases the eye with a very bold appearance.

The all-terrain vehicle has a huge grille (like a Lexus) and narrow LED headlights.

The latter are united by a horizontal bar, which serves the role of flasher lights.

Senior model variants have additional headlights stylized under the grille.

Interestingly, the black plates on the front wings are not just decor, but also the bodies for the cameras of the blind spot monitoring system.

Other features include a sloping roof with sloped rear struts and 20-inch wheels.

As for the interior, it is made in typical for the Chinese brand style: the car has a simplified central console and a high two-level tunnel.

In this crossover has received a single 27.0-inch display, which performs the role of both the instrument panel, and the multimedia system.

It is interesting that for convenience it can be moved along the front panel, and the range of movement is rather essential — 300 mm.

It means that if you wish the screen can be moved to the side of a front passenger.

But such arrangement raises a question concerning the opening of the front passenger airbag.

Updated Roewe RX5 will get to dealers in August: equipment and prices of the crossover.

Chinese company Roewe will launch preliminary sales of the third-generation RX5 2022 crossover already in July (including eRX5 version).

The model will reach dealerships in August.

Previously announced pre-sale price of the car starts at 120,000 yuan (960,000 rubles in equivalent).

In China, sales of the SUV will begin in the second half of 2022.

The novelty will definitely prove to be more expensive than its predecessor, for which they are now asking from 14 to 19 thousand dollars (from 920,000 to 1,240,000 rubles at the current exchange rate).

The third-generation Roewe RX5 features a new four-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 187 hp and peak torque of 300 N8m.

The new eRX5 features a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter 187-hp turbocharged motor and an electric motor.

The system as a whole has a maximum output of 432 horsepower and 570 N*m of torque.
