Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II 2023 : a restyled version of the current generation model.

Rolls-Royce has introduced a slightly updated Phantom sedan of the current (eighth) generation.

Interestingly enough, the British call the restyled four-door «the model of the second series.

Visually, the model almost has not changed. It can be recognized only by other running lights: the developers abandoned the bezels in the main headlights in favor of a wide LED-strip.

It runs along the upper border of the headlamp and grille. By the way, the latter can now be ordered backlit.

The sedan is also available with new wheels, and in the base they are steel. However, such rollers can’t be called «cheap»: they have a three-dimensional drawing, hewn from a solid bar.

And it is possible to order the disks with smooth surface (like at the classical cars of the brand in 1920-ies).

Another option is the comprehensive styling package, which includes dark décor (instead of shiny chrome).

A major innovation in the Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II cabin is the Rolls-Royce Connected multimedia system (a first for a branded car).

It has a wide range of online services, telematics and function of remote connection from a smartphone.

In the future, this complex should get and other models of the brand. The updated four-door also got a slightly different steering wheel, which differs from the old one except for a thicker rim.

The company also prepared an alternative to the standard leather interior.

To demonstrate it, the British even built an exclusive RR Phantom Platino, which is completely made in light colors.

The front seats are still leather, but the developers used two types of very expensive and high-quality fabric for decoration of the rear part of the salon.

Plus they abandoned the wooden veneer inserts in favor of ceramic decor.

In terms of technology the updated Phantom has not changed: it still uses a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 571 hp. Powered by an 8-speed automatic.

The car has only rear drive. The Rolls-Royce company has already opened orders for four-door from the so-called «second series», but no information about the cost of restyled cars yet.
