Ruf introduced the Bergmeister speedster inspired by the iconic Porsche models.
The Germans from Ruf Automobiles, which specializes in Porsche tuning, presented their independent model — speedster called «Bergmeister» at «The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering» event in the USA.
German tuning studio Ruf Automobile that specializes on modifications of Porsche cars has presented its new project.
This time, the specialists did not take a particular sports car of the German brand as a basis, and created their own model, which combines features of several iconic models of Porsche of the past years.
The new model under the designation Project RBS got its own name Bergmeister and is already ready for small-scale production.
It was invented by Tony Hutter, who previously created the design of the last air-cooled Porsche 911.
He gave the presented model a collective image, which reflects solutions of several iconic models of the German brand.
To be more specific, when creating Ruf Bergmeister the specialist was guided by the sports cars 906, 909 Bergspyder and 718 RS 60 Spyder, which took part in hill climbing races in their time.
And also in the appearance of the speedster you can discern references to the prototype Porsche Boxster Bergspyder presented not so long ago.
Ruf Bergmeister has a carbon fiber body and fully LED optics, and the interior is trimmed with black alcantara, which is complemented by inserts of checkered fabric-scotch on the seats.
Not counting the aluminum pedal pads, the entire interior is covered in alcantara.
The presented two-door is painted in white color and has a number of green accents. It has full LED headlights, and the wheels are decorated with 19-inch Ruf rims.
The interior of the car is almost entirely finished in black alcantara, although the seats have checkered fabric upholstery. On the pedals, you can see the aluminum pads.
The speedster is equipped with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine with 450 hp (599 Nm).
Works in tandem with a six-speed manual. This bundle of units is again Ruf’s own development, and before that the specialists of the German brand didn’t use them anywhere.
The model has rear drive, and carbon-ceramic mechanisms are responsible for braking.
It is known that the two-door will be released in small batches, but neither its edition nor cost is not disclosed yet.
