At the end of January Skoda company introduced a new Enyaq Coupe vRS electric crossover.

Skoda Enyaq Coupe became the first electric car with RS-version. Model lineup of the Czech brand was supplemented with a cross-liftback.

Skoda introduced the new Enyaq Coupe iV: the model became not only the first production cross-liftback of the brand, but also the first electric car with «charged» version RS.

The automobile differs from the standard Enyaq iV in its roof line (it is designed like the recent concepts Vision E and Vision iV), as well as dimensions, an impressive list of standard equipment and improved aerodynamics. In Europe, this electric car will appear in the spring.

Even then there was information that the Czech model will be expensive.

Now it has been confirmed. Skoda Enyaq Coupe vRS 2022 entered the British market at a price of 51885 pounds (about 5.28 million rubles), which makes the novelty the most expensive product of the Czech brand.

According to previously announced information, the «charged» electric crossover is equipped with an 82-kilowatt battery.

The Czech novelty is set in motion by two electric motors, which together give out up to 295 hp of useful power and 460 N*m of torque.

Such a combination provides acceleration to the first «hundred» in 6.5 seconds. The Czech novelty is able to drive up to 497 kilometers without recharging.

Such a long range for a «charged» electric crossover is largely due to the fact that the Enyaq Coupe vRS has one of the best in terms of aerodynamics body.

Additionally engineers Skoda finalized the design of the chassis, reducing ground clearance in the front by 15 mm and at the rear by 10 mm.

As standard the Czech novelty is equipped with progressive steering with variable transmission ratio.

The electric crossover is equipped with a unique radiator grille that includes 113 LEDs.

The cabin is equipped with a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13-inch touchscreen.

Depending on the selected modification, induction charging, adaptive cruise control, three-zone climate control, front seat massage, electrically adjustable tailgate and other equipment are available along with the Czech model.

Onboard electronics in the electric crossover supports remote updating and control via smartphone.

Skoda already has coupe-like crossovers in its arsenal, such as the Kodiaq GT and Kamiq GT for China.

However, if they have only slightly swept back struts, and differences from usual Kodiaq and Kamiq are minimized, the European Enyaq Coupe iV is different.

It is more of a crossover-liftback, and it has the whole top part twisted.

In addition, it is not only as big as the standard Enyaq iV but even exceeds it in height by symbolic six millimeters and a half of centimeters in length.

The wheelbase of both electric cars is the same and is 2,765 millimeters, and the trunk of the Enyaq Coupe iV holds 570 liters versus 585 for the Enyaq iV with a conventional body.

The Enyaq Coupe iV will be offered in Europe in four variants. The simplest version with the index 60 will receive a single-engine power plant with 179 horsepower, a battery capacity of 62 kilowatt-hours and rear-wheel drive.

The Enyaq Coupe 80 iV will be equipped with a 204-horsepower electric motor and 82-kilowatt-hour battery, and this version is the most long-range — the range is 545 kilometers.

After that there are two all-wheel drive modifications: it is Enyaq Coupe iV 80x with two electric motors (one on each axis) which develop 265 horsepower, and RS-version with 306-horsepower installation.

Skoda gives dynamic characteristics of the latter — from a place to 100 kilometers per hour Enyaq Coupe iV RS accelerates in 6.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is electronically limited to 180 kilometers per hour, while in other versions the restrictor kicks in at 160 kilometers per hour.

As for aerodynamic efficiency, the Enyaq Coupe has a lower Cd ratio than the regular Enyaq: 0.234 instead of 0.255. If you compare it with the «charged» Enyaq Coupe RS iV, its result is 0.248.

Basic versions of the Enyaq Coupe iV have 13-inch multimedia system screen, 5.3-inch virtual dashboard, panoramic sunroof in the initial configuration and 18-inch wheels.

Optionally, you can order a projection display, matrix headlights and a 131-LED front grille illumination.

Start of sales on the European market is scheduled for spring this year, prices have not yet been announced.
