The Czech company Skoda has completely declassified its first electric crossover, which bears the name Skoda Enyaq iV.

The new crossover Skoda Enyaq iV 2021 model year will differ not only in its modern electronics, but also in a fairly wide variety of versions.

The car is equipped with three different sized batteries, five engine power options, as well as two types of drives (rear and front). This variety of equipment will satisfy the needs of many customers.

Already from September 1, 2020, orders for the new Skoda Enyaq iV electric crossover have begun in many countries. First, the Founders Edition will go into mass production, with a total of 1,895 copies.

These versions will be distinguished by their false radiator grille, equipped with illumination, leather trim, as well as a special body kit and 21-inch wheels.

The assembly of this new product from Skoda will be carried out only at the main plant of the Czech automobile company, which is located in Mlada Boleslav.

Skoda Enyaq iV 2021 is the only model built on the MEB platform. The price for the new product will start at 3,540,000 rubles (40,400 euros) in the basic configuration on the Czech car market.

As for the appearance of this crossover in our Russian market, we should not expect it in the near future. To begin with, the necessary demand for cars of this type must be formed on the Russian automotive market.

The luggage compartment, thanks to a decent rear body kit, is at least 585 liters. As for aerodynamics, it is not outstanding here, the drag coefficient is 0.27.

Now let’s pay a little attention to the crossover’s front optics. LED optics are installed on the car, but for a certain surcharge it is possible to get matrix headlights, which are equipped with automatic beam correction depending on the readings of the front view camera. The high beam modules themselves consist of 24 diodes, which have an individual control function.

The false radiator grille received vertical slats. As an additional option, the grille provides a Crystal Face illumination, as well as headlights that react to door locking or the owner’s approach. This function is called Coming / Leaving Home.

At the rear, the car is equipped with side lights with dynamic sections, a massive spoiler, a gray painted diffuser and the SKODA lettering on the luggage compartment lid.

The rails and side glazing frames will be made either in chrome, or painted in matt black or glossy color. I would also like to note the variety of disks from 18 to 21-inch. The body of the crossover also received 9 different shades, and 7 of them are metal.

The developers of the new electric crossover Skoda Enyaq iV 2021 model year faced many different challenges. They endowed the crossover with the most advanced equipment — this is a 10 or 13-inch display of the multimedia system, which is located in the center of the front panel.

I would also like to note the presence of wireless connection of various gadgets to the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay interfaces, as well as the function of voice and gesture recognition, and now it is possible to remotely control using a smartphone.

The instrument panel is installed digital with a 5.3-inch display. In addition, a head-up display is also installed, which, in turn, displays tips from the assistant and navigator systems.

Electronic assistants include:

 system of avoiding unexpected obstacles on the road (Collision Avoidance Assist);

 collision avoidance system when turning left (Turn Assist);

 system of warning about danger when leaving the car (Exit Warning);

 a system for overcoming problem sections of the road using these online services (Travel Assist);

 system of parallel or perpendicular parking, and also remotely (Park Assist);

In addition to the equipment already listed, a 2-zone climate control, digital radio, heated steering wheel, a rear view camera, a keyless entry system in a car, a Kessy Go engine start system, and an advanced Canton audio system, which includes 12 loudspeakers, inductive charging of smartphones, availability of USB-C ports and 230 Volt sockets and an electric drive for the luggage compartment lid.

The interior is available in leather or fabric with polyester fibers. The luggage compartment of the car is equipped with a raised floor, which contains convenient niches. In addition to all this, the rear doors received retractable curtains.

The new electric Skoda Enyaq iV 2021 will be produced from the factory in five versions (Enyaq 50 iV, Enyaq 60 iV, Enyaq 80 iV, Enyaq 80x iV and Enyaq RS iV).

The first one (Enyaq 50 iV) is a 148 horsepower electric motor and a 55 kWh battery. The power reserve of this version is 340 km, and acceleration to 100 km / h takes only 11.7 seconds.

The second (Enyaq 60 iV) is a 179 horsepower engine, a 62 kWh battery. The range of this version is 390 km, and acceleration to 100 km / h takes only 8.7 seconds.

The third (Enyaq 80 iV) is a 204 horsepower engine, 82 kWh battery. The power reserve of this version is 510 km, and the acceleration to 100 km / h takes only 8.5 seconds.

The fourth (Enyaq 80x iV) consists of two electric motors with a total capacity of 265 horsepower and an 82 kWh battery. The range of this version is 460 km, and acceleration to 100 km / h takes only 6.9 seconds.

The fifth (Enyaq RS iV) consists of two engines with a capacity of 306 horsepower, an 82 kWh battery. The range of this version is 460 km, and acceleration to 100 km / h takes only 6.2 seconds, and the maximum speed is 180 km / h.

To charge the battery of the electric crossover, a DC and AC device is used. Using a terminal up to 125 kW, it charges an 82 kWh battery to 80% in just 38 minutes. The 11 kW AC wall box charges the battery in 6-8 hours.
