Hyundai has officially presented an updated Kona crossover.
In preparation for this model Korean engineers conducted extensive work, completely redesigning the car.
As a result, the Hyundai Kona 2024 turned out to be a more futuristic and luxurious crossover than it would have been before.
The Korean model is presented in three versions: hybrid, electric and «charged» N Line.
Each variant has external differences, but all crossover modifications have a thin LED strip, which runs along the rounded edge of the hood and replaces the headlights.
Under it, there are wide cutouts for additional headlights.
The difference between the modifications is visible in the shape of the air intake.
The standard version has a large size and is complemented by metal inserts on the sides.
The electric Kona has a smaller air intake, and its pattern consists of small dots. In the sport modification, it is decorated with a plastic overlay and a large mesh.
Hyundai has not yet fully disclosed the new crossover. It is known that its length has increased by 150 mm and now reaches 4355 mm.
The distance between the wheel axles grew by 60 mm, width — by 25 mm.
Due to these changes the interior should get additional space, which will positively affect the comfort.
Inside the Korean model, a lot of improvements have been made. The crossover is combined with two 12.3-inch screens.
At the same time under the central display the developers have kept a set of physical keys. But the changes have improved the layout and perception of the cabin.
And the second row of seats, according to the official statement, increases the comfort of the car.
The hybrid version of the Kona is expected to get a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and produce up to 139 hp and 264 N*m.
The electric version will feature a 201-horsepower motor and a battery that provides a range of 407 kilometers.
