Toyota Avalon 2023.

The new Toyota Avalon sedan has arrived, which can replace the Camry.

The Japanese Camry sedan left our market last year.

But domestic dealers found a replacement for him and brought a new Toyota Avalon 2023.

According to Daily-Motor.ru, the car, which is being assembled at a joint site with FAW in China, arrived in our country with the help of parallel imports.

It is known that Camry and Avalon are produced on the common GA-TNGA architecture and their technical characteristics, as well as dimensions, are largely similar.

The body length of the novelty is 4975 mm, and the distance between the wheel axles is 2870 mm.

The Chinese version of the sedan arrived in Russia with a two-liter gasoline unit without turbocharging, the output of which is 178 hp.

Note that Camry was available on our market with a similar engine, although its power was deliberately reduced to 150 “horses”.

As for the cost of Toyota Avalon, at the moment dealers offer the minimum configuration of the “Japanese” for 3.5 million rubles.

Having in the arsenal of good performance and quite comfortable interior, Toyota Avalon received a very mixed assessment.

Experts have identified a huge number of advantages, but without drawbacks, however, not done. Separately, it is worth noting that in terms of characteristics, the sedan is close to the popular Camry in Russia.

As for the differences, the Toyota Avalon has a longer body, which provides more space in the cabin.

There are also several unique solutions in appearance. These include a third rear window, rather narrow lanterns at the stern and originally designed wheels.

In the cabin, too, there is something to focus on. In particular, this is a more spacious rear row of seats, USB ports, an armrest with compartments for glasses and a smartphone, and deflectors.

The design of the «torpedo» is presented in a standard format, so there are no special differences from the Camry.

The ground clearance of the Toyota Avalon is 135 mm, so you should forget about off-road, and you should visit country roads with caution.

But more powerful engines are offered — for 178, 209 and 301 hp. True, transport tax intervenes here, so the advantage is debatable.

The sedan costs in the range of 3.8-4.5 million rubles, which is also comparable to the Camry. However, the latter still received more positive reviews.
