Toyota GR-86 2022.
Japanese carmaker Toyota, which had previously announced a new version of the GR-86, has confirmed information that prices for it will start at $27,700 in America.
The car will appear in December this year and will have two versions.
Compared to its predecessor, the prices have grown by almost $650, but experts agree that it is a reasonable financial sacrifice for the sake of changes that the updated GR-86 consumer will get.
In addition to a more powerful engine and modern interior, already in the basic package sports coupe will get 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry and mirrors with electric drive.
There’s also a push-button engine start and dual-zone climate control in the base package. Cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a six-speaker audio system are also included in the base version.
Standard sport seats and folding rear seats are installed, greatly expanding the volume of the luggage compartment.
The interior is no longer a weak point of the GR-86. The 2022 model will get a dual 7-inch and 8-inch screen with modern features.
The creators equipped it with voice recognition, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The premium version of the GR-86 costs $30,300. For this money the owner gets 18-inch alloy wheels with sport tires Michelin Pilot 4 version, a spoiler, heated front seats and combined leather and suede trim.
The expensive version also has aluminum pedal pads, interior stitching and an eight-speaker audio system.
Both trims will be available with an upgraded 2.4-liter engine with a maximum output of 228 hp and 249 N*m of torque.
The 10% increase in engine power allows the maximum torque to be reached much earlier than the old version, already at 3,700 rpm.
Engineers have also thoroughly worked on the six-speed automatic, it became much faster to switch working ranges.
With both transmissions sports coupe became more dynamic: 6.1 seconds on MT and 6.6 seconds on AT to a hundred kilometers per hour (previously 8 seconds).
