Volkswagen Amarok 2023.
A new teaser of Volkswagen Amarok 2023 has been presented. On it the new LED headlights are seen.
In general, all variants of the medium-sized pickup will receive such optics, but more top versions will have a system «IQ Light» in addition.
The advantage of these adaptive LEDs is that they reduce the light level depending on ambient light, including oncoming cars.
This technology German brand equips many updated models.
The matrix headlights provide even better information about the road when turning, and they shine two times more powerful than conventional ones.
The new Amarok will get a whole range of changes. There will be a lot of features to help the driver.
The instrument panel will be changed and there will be a new SYNC 4 system. The pickup will get more modern acoustics
Also new buyers will be given an opportunity to adjust heated seats by a large number of parameters.
Also there will be several levels of trim, including off-road or regular street.
The pickup will be based on last generation Ranger, for example, there will be the same roof, side mirror housings, windshield and suspension.
However, Volkswagen promises many upgrades both inside and out.
The wheels will range in size from 17 to 21 inches, and there will be a choice of rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The latter will either be an optional extra or a requirement, depending on the car version.
There will be many engines to choose from, including a V6. Most of them will be diesel, but gasoline units won’t go anywhere. The most powerful will be VW’s 3.0-liter V6.
Production will take place in South Africa, while the current generation will still be made in Argentina.
The new generation pickup, in addition, will have increased dimensions of the body and wheelbase compared to its predecessor.
By the way, it is already known that the distance between the axles of the new Amarok will be 3270 mm, which is 175 mm more than the current model.
Together with this the payload will be increased to 1200 kg. The increased wheelbase also means the pickup will have shorter overhangs, which will result in larger departure and arrival angles.
The body is stretched to 5350 mm, which is also 100 mm longer than on the current model.
What exactly will be the new Amarok engine range the manufacturer is still keeping silent, but it was announced that it will include at least four diesel and one gasoline engines.
However, everything will depend on the market. It is assumed that the entire lineup will consist of four- and six-cylinder engines ranging in size from 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
We can safely assume that the car will receive a turbodiesel V6. And the last thing — the new Amarok should debut in the near future, and the start of its sales is scheduled for 2023.
