Volkswagen Caddy 2021 is the fifth generation of the model.
After a series of preliminary sketches and sketches, the official presentation of the fifth generation Volkswagen Caddy heel took place at last.

At the stern, the main innovation is the appearance of thin vertical lanterns that reach the very roof. The sides of the body are notable for new lines of stamping, stretching along the sides from the front to the rear optics.

The Caddy’s lighting technology is completely diode, but only in the «older» trim levels. Also, the prerogative of the expensive versions will be 18-inch wheels.

The Volkswagen minivan, as before, will be available in several configurations. Sliding rear doors can be either one-sided or two-sided, and the boot lid has a one-piece design and swing-leaf format.

Digital cockpit and new assistance systems

The changes in the cabin of the compact van are quite significant. The front panel of the «fifth» Caddy is completely new, with intricate curves, a console turned towards the driver and a long niche at the top.

Top versions will receive two large information screens — the Digital Cockpit instrument panel and a 10-inch display of the main multimedia system. In the initial configurations, the center screen is 6.5 inches.

The on-board functionality in the new Volkswagen Cuddy 2020-2021 will be controlled primarily using touch buttons.

For example, a block of such keys for switching headlights is located on the panel to the left of the steering wheel, replacing the rotary selector. Also, with simple touches, you can access the climate settings and the media center menu.

In addition to advanced digital systems, the updated Caddy relies on ergonomic seats, interior ambient lighting, push-button engine start, electric doors, a 230 Volt socket and a large panoramic sunroof with an area of ​​1.4 sq. meters.

A set of 19 electronic assistants includes six new ones, including Travel Assist (combines active cruise control and lane tracking) and Trailer Assist (facilitates maneuvering with a trailer).

The line of engines of the new Cuddy includes only economical engines that meet the requirements of Euro-6. TDI diesels with a dual selective neutralization system develop from 75 to 122 hp.

So far, only one petrol unit has been announced — a 1.5-liter TSI with 116 hp. The engines are combined with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DSG «robot».

All-wheel drive will be available only to versions with powerful power plants. Details on the gas engine and hybrid versions will follow.
