The Cyan Racing team, formerly Polestar Racing, has named the cost of the Volvo P1800 Cyan restomod for the United States market.

Coupe, equipped with a motor rated at 420 horsepower and a manual gearbox, estimated at 700 thousand dollars, which corresponds to 42.2 million rubles.

For this amount you can buy, for example, a pair of supercars McLaren 720S.

Coupe Volvo P1800 Cyan created racing team Cyan Racing (former Polestar Racing), responsible for autosport programs of Volvo and the Chinese Lynk & Co (both brands are part of the concern Geely).

The restomod is based on the 1960s model, but there are so many changes that the car can be safely called new.

The chassis is reinforced, the suspension is made of aluminum, and in the back — double wishbones instead of uncut axle. The body is carbon fiber.

The P1800 Cyan’s engine is based on the Volvo S60 TC1: its displacement has been increased from 1.6 to two liters and power has been increased from 350 to 420 horsepower (455 Nm).

The transmission uses a five-speed Holinger mechanics with a dog-leg shifting scheme (first gear is in place of the second) and an adjustable rear limited slip differential.

It is also possible to adjust wheel camber, castor, compression and rebound levels of Öhlins shock absorbers.

The interior of the P1800 Cyan replicates the interior of the donor. The instrumentation is custom-made.

For more entourage, Momo racing seats and a titanium semi-safety cage are installed.

At the same time, the restomod’s circulation has not been revealed yet. Initially we were talking about 25 copies at a price of half a million dollars each.

However, in the U.S. the cost was much higher. Here for the P1800 Cyan will ask 700 thousand dollars, or 42.2 million rubles.

The price will include delivery costs, because the cars will be assembled in Gothenburg, Sweden, where the headquarters of Cyan Racing is located.
