Voyah Zhuiguang 2023. The Chinese presented a large electric sedan Voyah Zhuiguang.

The company Voyah, which is part of the concern Dongfeng, has declassified its third model — a large and well-equipped sedan «Zhuiguang», which name is translated from Chinese as «light chase».

The presented four-door has a rather stern and elegant exterior design with narrow headlights and lights.

It has 20-inch wheels and a retractable spoiler on its rear end.

It is reported that at high speeds this component generates additional downforce (+ 40 kg).

The aerodynamic drag coefficient Cx is 0.225.

The model has five seats inside, and the four main seats are equipped with heating, ventilation and vibromassage. There is a two-section panoramic roof.

There is nothing to surprise the sedan in terms of interior design — the design is the same as the other models of the brand.

However, this time the Chinese decided to do without lifting mechanism of the front panel.

On the last one there are three screens 12.3 inches each.

There is also a projection screen in front of the driver, and another touchscreen in place of the center console.

Rear passengers Chinese also did not indulge: a 7.0-inch touchscreen is «hidden» in the central armrest.

But there are almost no analog buttons in the cabin (sensors are used even on the steering wheel).

Besides, there is an advanced voice control system, and while changing climate settings, the electronics can recognize which of four climate control zones the command came from.

Voyah Zhuiguang 2023 is designed on a modular ESSA (Electric Smart Secure Architecture) platform, on which are built the first two models of the brand — the crossover Free and minivan Dreamer.

The chassis design uses a double wishbone suspension in the front, and multilever suspension in the rear, with «around the clock» adaptive shock absorbers and adjustable air bags.

By the way, such architecture is atypical for Chinese cars.

The sedan reaches a length of 5,088 mm, while having a wheelbase at the level of 3,000 mm. Its width and height are 1,970 and 1,505 mm respectively.

It debuts on the market as a complete electric car with two motors: a unit on the front axle produces 218 hp and 292 hp in the rear.

In total, they generate 510 horsepower (730 Nm). The base model is equipped with 82.1 kWh battery, with which the range reaches 580 kilometers (according to the cycle CLTC).

The more expensive version is equipped with 108.7 kWh battery, and its range is 730 km.

The developers claimed the possibility of charging from «fast» DC terminals, and the battery can be replenished for a throw of up to 230 km, allegedly in just 10 minutes.

As for dynamics, the novelty accelerates from a place up to a hundred in 3.8 seconds (regardless of the type of battery).

Maximum speed of the base version is 210 km/h, but the long-range version is a little slower — 205 km/h.

And the developers have already announced the appearance of a sequential hybrid in the range, in which the engine acts as a generator to recharge the battery.

It is worth mentioning about the equipment of sedan’s autopilot of the second level: 12 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, five millimeter radars, and two GPS units provide information for «smart» electronics.

In the Middle Kingdom market, the new sedan should debut at the beginning of the twenty-third, where it will have to compete with models BYD Han EV and Nio ET7.

The starting price tag of the four-door will be $46,000 (3.0 million rubles at current exchange rates), although the Long Range model will cost $62,000 (4.0 million rubles).

While the developers will also offer customers the opportunity to buy an electric car noticeably cheaper, but without a battery — for $28,000 (1.8 million rubles) and $36,000 (2.3 million rubles) respectively.

It will be possible to rent a traction battery, the rate has already been announced: $241 a month (15,600 rubles) for the base variant and $323 (21,000 rubles) for the increased capacity.

Note that the brand Voyah should officially enter the Russian market. Free crossovers will go on sale first, but in time new sedans will appear as well.
