VW Polo Track 2023.
The VW Polo Track will replace the Gol model in Brazil: the latter was produced there for 42 years.
Volkswagen has announced that the Gol hatchback will soon be taken off the assembly line.
This five-door was designed specifically for the Brazilian market in 1980, and now there is in line its third generation, which was released back in two thousand eighth.
Already in December, the production of the car will be discontinued, and the Germans intend to say goodbye to the popular Brazilian model release special version under the uncomplicated name «Last Edition». The last edition will be available in 1,000 cars.
Externally, the new modification is characterized by the presence of black body decals and plastic wheel arch extenders.
The interior has a striking red decor, and on its front panel there is a plate with the serial number of the car in the series.
Also VW Gol Last Edition 2023 can boast the richest for the model equipment with a full range of options. The cost of such a five-door is still unknown.
Interestingly, although the history of the model Gol will come to an end, but Germans have already prepared for the Brazilian market a successor — it will be VW Polo Track.
The latter is a simplified version of Polo hatchback and differs from it only by a different plastic bodykit outside, while the five-door body has not undergone any changes.
The Polo Track has simpler bumpers and large-mesh radiator grille. Hatchback gets halogen headlights and 15-inch steel wheels with hubcaps.
But the interior hasn’t undergone any simplifications, although it is not richly equipped.
There is an analog dashboard and an old radio. There is a lot of plugs on the front panel, and the steering wheel has a plastic rim.
There are unimpressive seats with integrated headrests at the disposal of front passengers.
For an extra fee you can order an audio system with buttons on the steering wheel and communication via Bluetooth.
Like the usual VW Polo, the Brazilian Polo Track 2023 is built on the MQB modular platform.
The volume of the trunk — the standard 300 liters. The hatch is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder atmospheric MPI engine rated at 84 hp, working in conjunction with a five-speed manual.
Of the equipment put on a five-door is worth noting ESP, air conditioning, four airbags, central locking, power windows (front) and electric power steering.
The Volkswagen Polo Track will enter the assembly line at the Brazilian plant in Taubat, where the Goal is still being assembled.
On the local market, the first hatchbacks should appear in January of the twenty-third at a price of 79,990 reais (900,000 rubles at current exchange rate).
