Audi Q8 2024.

The Germans presented the updated Audi Q8 crossover: the planned restyling turned out to be modest.

The flagship crossover Audi Q8 debuted on the market five years ago, and in September twenty-third, the Germans finally introduced its updated version.

Their planned restyling turned out to be not as large-scale as one might expect. In particular, the company did not touch either the body or the equipment of the model.

On the outside, the 2024 Audi Q8 can be recognized by its revised face design.

The crossover tried on another large-mesh grille and got a different head optics.

For the first time, matrix headlights with laser-phosphor high beams became available for the model.

They can be ordered for a fee. Similar optics are already familiar from a number of other expensive Audis.

The laser in such headlights turns on exclusively on an empty road and when driving at a speed of over 70 km / h.

And through the settings, you can choose one of several options for displaying DRLs.

For a surcharge, the updated Ku8 can also be ordered with more advanced taillights — the Germans offer to install lighting devices on the thinnest organic light emitting diodes (OLED), which shine very brightly and evenly.

And optional lights are adaptive. For example, “smart” electronics can “light up” additional sections to attract the attention of drivers behind the car (if they approach the car closer than two meters).

Also, the restyled crossover received slightly different bumpers with modified air intakes and new wheels.

From now on, the latter are already in the base 20-inch (previously 19-inch were the default).

In addition, the Germans have increased the difference between different versions of the model: the basic version of the body kit now has much more black plastic than the more expensive S line.

The interior of the crossover has hardly changed at all, although the developers have revised the finishing materials, and also applied a slightly different decor.

By the way, leather is still widely used in the decoration — the company has not yet begun to switch to recycled materials.

The multimedia system installed on the model works on the good old MIB3 platform, while the Volkswagen concern already has a fresh MIB4 complex in its hands.

Note that so far only non-hybrid versions of the Audi Q8 FL have been updated, and their technology has remained the same.

The 45 TDI and 50 TDI variants still come with a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel that produces 231 or 286 hp. respectively.

Well, the 55 TFSI gasoline modification relies on a 3.0-liter V6 with 340 forces.

All of these machines have a 48-volt starter-alternator. Plus, there is an eight-speed automatic and permanent all-wheel drive.

Planned restyling also affected the «warmed up» Audi SQ8. The 4.0-liter V8 TFSI petrol turbo engine put to it also remained the same — it produces 507 «mares» and 770 Nm of torque.

Of the equipment, such a crossover has active stabilizers, air suspension and a fully controlled chassis.

European customers can already place orders for the updated Q8 and SQ8.

In Germany, for a regular crossover they ask from 86,700 euros (9.1 million rubles at the current exchange rate), and for a “warmed up” one – from €119,500 (12.5 million rubles).

In the future, the Germans promise to update rechargeable hybrids, as well as the «charged» RS Q8.
