BMW IX XDrive50 2022.
BMW IX XDrive50 2022. BMW unveiled the iX electric crossover at the end of last year, but it was only a partial revelation.
We need to see the electric car from all angles, ponder some preliminary specifications and explore some technical details.
Today we learn about the iX’s final production specifications and countless other details.
We’ll start with the important, final power numbers. The IX launches on the xDrive50 spec in the US only, giving it standard all-wheel drive.
Power is 516 horsepower and 564 lb-ft of torque paired with two electric motors. Its rear engine is stronger than the front one, maximum power is 335 horsepower, while the front engine power is 268 horsepower.
BMW today announced that the iX M60 «with over 600 hp» will be the first electric crossover M. Dates for this model are not yet available.
The standard xDrive50 model does 0-60 mph in just 4.6 seconds, so expect the M60 to be closer to 4.0 seconds or less. BMW prefers to use a single-speed gearbox as opposed to the Porsche Taycan’s two-speed gearbox.
