Hyundai Creta 2024.

A restyled Hyundai Creta with a design similar to the new Palisade is being tested in India.

Spy photos of the updated Korean crossover Hyundai Creta have appeared on the Internet. The pictures are shared by the Indian automobile portal Autocarindia.

According to the publication, assembly of the restyled Hyundai Creta at the Chennai plant will start in January 2024. In the meantime, the car is passing the required tests.

It is expected that the car in Indian specification will inherit the features of the Tucson and Palisade — the “senior” models in the Hyundai line.

The debut of the updated cross is scheduled for early 2024. Its design will feature a spectacular radiator grille, which the Palisade has, and the optics will be represented by vertically oriented separate headlights, which will receive an LED pattern.

Externally, the new Creta for India will be similar to the new Hyundai Palisade. For the markets of other countries, the updated Creta was created on the basis of the Tucson.

The Indian Creta will try on a redesigned bumper, a new trunk lid and H-shaped LED DRLs in the style of the Exter compact cross, as well as split vertical optics and a different radiator grille.

Also, after the upgrade, Creta will have access to the ADAS package and panoramic cameras, insiders say.

The crossover’s interior will feature new finishing materials, a richer color palette and modern multimedia with a 10.25-inch screen.

The SUV is equipped with a 1.5-liter 160-horsepower gasoline turbo engine. This engine is familiar to car enthusiasts from the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Alcazar, Hyundai Verna and Kia Carens models.

Transmission — manual transmission or 7-speed “robot”.

The alternative is a naturally aspirated gasoline engine and diesel. Both are 115 horsepower per 1.5 liter. The debut of the new product is promised to be organized at the beginning of 2024.

The cross will reach a new level of safety, having acquired various modern systems, including the function of keeping the car in the selected lane and ADAS technology.

The list of equipment, among other things, includes a large touchscreen media system and a digital instrument panel.

Technically, the new product will be unified with the Hyundai Verna sedan: it will receive a 160-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo engine.

In addition, there will be versions with a 115-horsepower naturally aspirated engine and a diesel engine of the same volume, and the transmission options will be “mechanical” and “automatic.”
