The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N has been shown on independent phototrackers.

These images were made by CarScoops artist Josh Byrnes based on Hyundai Ioniq 5 N test prototypes caught in the lens of photospy cameras.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is quickly becoming the talk of the electric car world.

Its ’80s styling with hints of Lancia Delta Integrale has won many admiring glances.

To fuel public interest in the electric car, the Korean automaker announced the Ioniq 5 in N Performance.

At the end of last year, this car was first noticed at the Nürburgring.

The electric car still has all the best features of the Ioniq, including neat parametric pixel LED lights and a square rear end. The N-execution adds bolder front graphics, a front splitter and side skirts with red accents, wider wheel arch moldings and a large rear spoiler.

The electric car sits noticeably lower and the larger wheels are extended outward for a wider stance.

The interior of the new model will feature sport seats, a sportier steering wheel, red accents, darker trim colors, and plenty of «N» branding.

The pedals will be decorated with light-alloy metal pads, and the sills will be completed with illumination.

Plus floor mats with the N logo and customizable N-Performance mode buttons mounted on the Hyundai steering wheel.

The Ioniq 5 N will get a stiffer, sportier-tuned suspension and sticky low-profile Pirelli P Zero tires.

Also the electric car will need more powerful brakes. The regular version of the Ioniq 5 offers up to 320 hp in its most powerful form.

The N version will up the ante thanks to a high-performance electric drivetrain used in conjunction with Kia’s sister car, the e-GMP-based EV6 GT.

Although numbers are yet to be confirmed, a 77.4 kWh battery pack will power two electric motors, producing 577 hp.

That level of power should be enough to accelerate the Ioniq to a hundred in just 3.5 seconds, making it the first and fastest electrified N-spec product.

The new electric car could be officially unveiled as early as this year.

The car could be positioned as a 2024 model with prices starting at $58,000.
