Lotus Envya 2025.

Lotus is preparing a new Envya liftback: first image.

The novelty of the British brand is expected to appear in 2025. Probably, this model will fight for buyers with Porsche Taycan.

The British company Lotus Cars (owned by Chinese holding Geely), as well as many other automakers, counting on the European market, actively «greening».

The last model of this brand equipped with an internal combustion engine was the Emira sports car (factory index — Type 131), it was presented in the summer of 2021.

Now the manufacturer is engaged in the development of electric cars only.

Recall, the first «battery» novelty of the brand is already presented: we are talking about a crossover Lotus Eletre, which debuted at the end of March this year (its index — Type 132).

Later, another all-electric model is promised: earlier the company designated it as a four-door coupe with an index Type 133.

Later, there was information that it will be a large liftback, which will be called Envya.

So far, the company has not disclosed the appearance of a future novelty: while it was officially published only one teaser, which could be discerned only the silhouette of the car (full-face) with cameras instead of side mirrors, as well as with glowing sections of daytime running lights.

However, at the end of last month, a prototype of the electric car was caught in the lenses of photographers: the car in a «deaf» fabric camouflage was seen during tests on public roads in China.

His version of how, perhaps, will look Lotus Envya, shared with us the designer of the Spanish edition Motor.es.

It is expected that in its appearance much is borrowed from the crossover Eletre, which was the first to present the new corporate identity of the British brand.

Judging by the rendering, the liftback has the same family «grin» at the front, in the lower part of the front bumper integrated active air flaps in the form of lozenges: they break away if necessary to further cool the battery, electric motors and brake system.

The image shows that the liftback has «C-shaped» LED headlights with a thin shape, between them there is a bright logo of the brand Lotus.

The main block of headlights is «hidden» below, in the «predatory smile» Envya. In the hood and on the sides, obviously, there are additional air intakes (the same «gills» are available in the already presented crossover).

It is assumed that the model has frameless doors and a sloping roof.

It is reported that the length of electric novelty is more than five meters and the distance between its axles is more than three meters.

Probably, the Lotus Envya has short overhangs and a lot of legroom for the driver and passengers.

Presumably, the interior is designed for four people: the second row is also a pair of separate seats.

In terms of the number of displays in the interior, the novelty is obviously not inferior to the Eletre.

It is expected that the new Lotus model will receive versions with two- and three-engine power plants, their output will vary from 612 to 918 hp.

Drive will be four-wheel drive only. Most likely, the Envya will be equipped with a traction battery capacity of 100 kW * h; range on a single charge will be 500 or 600 km (depending on version).

Porsche Taycan, BMW i7 and Polestar 5 are expected to be competitors. Earlier it was reported that the liftback will be introduced in 2023, but the publication noted that the model will appear only in 2025.

Recall, «green» lineup of Lotus in the future will be added at the expense of a medium-sized crossover with factory index Type 134 and a new sports car Type 135 (earlier it was shown on the sketch).
