It hasn’t been long since the 2023 Yangwang U8 hit the home market that it’s already starting to arrive in showrooms.
But after its appearance in our country, the car went up in price by about 6 million rubles: they are asking for it from 17.1 million rubles.
Such a high price is partly due to the fact that the YangWang U8 has become the most powerful SUV in China: it is equipped with a 1200-horsepower hybrid unit.
Moreover, in its homeland this model is the most expensive. Such a high price is also explained by truly functional equipment: in addition to an abundance of premium options, the Chinese model offers features that are not available to many modern SUVs.
In particular, all-wheel steering allows you to drive this model sideways. A special layout in combination with some systems makes it possible to sail on a Chinese model.
The 2023 Yangwang U8 came out in a new body: no other model of the Chinese brand has previously been produced with a similar design.
Even the official photos show that this SUV is large in size.
At the same time, it has amazing technical characteristics for its class.
At the same time, the configurations and prices of the Chinese new car in Russia vary depending on the car dealership in which it is presented.
The car is not yet supplied to our country through official channels. For this reason, for example, there is no traditional division into configurations.
The Chinese model is truly prepared for almost any type of off-road.
At home, it can be ordered with several drones, which are controlled from the cockpit and allow additional control over changing terrain configurations.
The new U8 stands out with its distinctive appearance. It has a square body with rounded edges, which is generally typical for many modern SUVs.
However, certain exterior elements make the Chinese model unique. This, for example, concerns the head optics, which, bending, seem to pass through the radiator grille.
The pattern of the latter is formed by small metal “dots”. The front and rear bumpers are additionally reinforced. The stern optics also have a non-standard configuration. A full-fledged spare wheel is mounted at the rear.
The interior of the Chinese model is distinguished by its premium design: most of the interior space is trimmed in leather.
The cabin has several screens. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are practically no physical controls for embedded devices inside.
The SUV offers a truly comfortable seating position: the distance between the front and rear rows is large enough to comfortably accommodate any passengers.

Perhaps it is in technical terms that the 2023 YangWang U8 is the most profitable modern SUV to buy.
The car is equipped with four electric motors, each of which drives a separate wheel. Their output is 300 hp, and the total power reaches 1200 hp. In addition to them, a 2-liter turbocharged engine is provided, producing up to 271 hp.
Therefore, the car accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The built-in battery provides an electric range of 180 kilometers, and without refueling the SUV travels more than a thousand kilometers.
The length of the Chinese model is 5319 mm, width — 2050 mm, height — 1930 mm. The distance between the wheel axles reaches 3050 mm.
The car is equipped with an air suspension that can change the ground clearance within 150 mm. Therefore, the maximum ford depth reaches 1000 mm.
Thanks to the fact that the SUV has 4 electric motors, each of its wheels can spin separately from the others. Therefore, the car is able to turn around on the spot and move sideways.
The SUV was equipped with the latest proprietary system that controls the operation of each electric motor. In particular, it automatically redistributes torque, thereby eliminating an accident if the steering fails or a tire bursts.
BYD claims that this system is many times faster and more efficient than traditional all-wheel drive. The latter of the YangWang U8 supports several driving modes, including with flat tires at speeds of up to 120 km/h (convenient when crossing the desert).
Another system, which also influences the operation of each electric motor, automatically adjusts the dynamics of the wheels. This allows you to control the position of the body as accurately as possible.
